When I was 23 I was fooling around with a 19 year old right after fooling around with a 33 year old - VERY educational. My current boyfriend of 6 years is a month older than me and it seems to work great! It's like we grew up together
What the largest age difference you've ever dated younger/older?

When it comes to the man being older... He was almost 8 years older.. Now when I was the older one in the relationship.. He was like 2 years younger.

3 years older and 2 years younger. My fiance is 2 years younger than me and the only person 2 years younger that I've dated. I usually stayed around my age when dating, obviously.

14 years older, and 2 months younger. Never had a thing for guys my own age. I seem to prefer at least a ten year gap.

8 years
09/07/2013
13 years younger. 3 years older. I tend to go for younger men.

The largest age gap I've ever had was only two years and I was the older. My brother in law is dating a woman ten years his senior though. - C

A girl 6 years my senior.
09/07/2013
She was 12 yrs younger.

My girlfriend is four years older, which is my biggest age difference. It's kind of weird for her because she's used to dating people three or four years older than her.

I am twenty-eight years old, involved w/ a man thirteen years older than me. I do not feel the age difference at all to be honest. He understands me better than those in the past + this is the second try at him. We're involved, but nothing official. I don't feel like I'm in a state to make any demands + as this is our second go, I do not want to ruin it.
Nearly got involved w/ a man eighteen years older, but I stayed away from it despite the attempts. In my defense, I'd grown up w/ a crush on him since I was a teenager, but somehow turned him down years later. The thing I need to point out that both cases I speak of, the men look far younger than they are.
I don't like men younger than me b/c they personally bug me after all the failed attempts + men my age sincerely don't do it for me. More often than not, I'm drawn to the older men, not knowing how much older they are.

Ah for me the difference in age "feels" differently depending on the relative difference. For example, when I was 19 and dating a 25 year old the chronological difference was a mere six years, but to me it then it really felt like I was dating an "older woman" LOL. Fast forward to when I was 49 and dated a 39 year old, the ten year difference just didn't feel that different.

In my "Dating Period" I always dated someone within 1-2 years of my age. Only one was a little older. My wife of 38 years is 5 years younger.
She worked at a restaurant in the same chain where I was a store manager. My area supervisor came in one day and asked me if I met the attractive Asian girl at the Berkeley store. So I went and pretend to borrow some stock and checked her out. A couple days later I brought back the stock which never left the trunk of my car and started conversation with her. I offered to give her a ride home, she declined. Few days later she showed up at my store.
We been together ever since.

My current fella is 18 years older than I am. I tend to like older men. I think as far as younger goes maybe the max was 2 years.

I'm currently thirty-uhhhh.... something-ish under forty? HAHA!
Anyway, while I prefer (currently) guys no more than 4 years younger or around 8-10 years older, I recently started hooking up with a 21 year old (yes, the same age as one of my sons). We've oddly known one another since he was 18 and numerous times we had the conversation "if only you were about 15 years older!" (from me) or "if only you were my age!" (from him) and finally one of our hang out nights turned a bit more physical. It sincerely went from pizza and a dvd to whiskey and "clothing optional" in a very quick turnaround somehow. But it worked and we're both enjoying the hookup aspect.
It would be very doubtful that anything else would ever come from it, and thankfully, we're still the same as we were before - with no remorse and no weirdness, but every once-in-a-while, I get that twinge that MAYBE it wasn't right... and MAYBE it could even be construed as gross to some? For now, we're kind of keeping it on the DL because of stigma and whatnot, but he's a great friend, regardless of our different stages in life.

^^' The oldest I've actually dated is my current boyfriend who is 3 years older than me. I don't really have an age preference, though I prefer someone closer to my age so that the goals are more likely to be similar. People are different but there are some goals people have that kinda coincide with how old they are I think.
10/21/2013
The oldest and youngest I've actually dated (in a serious or semi-serious relationship) was 3 years older, or 1 year younger.
As for someone I've casually dated or hooked up with... almost 15 years older (22, 36) yikes!

Hmm, around two years younger than me, and 11 years older haha.

He was 8 years younger.

I dated a guy who had just turned 40 years old the week before our date this year - I'm 59.

I am 46 and fooling around with a 25 yr old online and it's a blast! I feel like an idiot, no doubt I am an idiot, but I can't stop myself! It's doing wonders for my self-confidence. But I think I should point out he's mature for his age and intelligent, so it's really not difficult, except for the fact I'm old enough to be his mommy (complete with my dumpy figure and stretch marks, *sigh*)! Anyway, I understand the worry about "ruining" him, Holly, I really do!

I tend to date older women, mainly because of the maturity. My current girlfriend is only 3 years older than me, but my previous girlfriend was 5 years younger. I hated that relationship, and constantly felt like I was babysitting both her and her brothers.

I'm sure that the only "ruining" y'all would do is make it impossible for him to have sex with anyone younger after y'all because you're both so awesome and know all the good tricks!!!

You're a sweetheart for saying so! That might very well be true for Holly Wood, but for me, I thing this guy can teach me some tricks, lol! The benefit to him is that I will DO all of it! I figure if he likes what he sees, then I have no problem doing all the kinky stuff younger women might flinch at, lol! Nothing like a desperate spinster...look out!
