I think whatever someone is comfortable wearing is fine, as long as it's not showing parts that you would get ticketed for. If wearing something younger makes them feel better about themselves and it's not hurting anyone else, friggen do it!

Tell that to Madonna and you'd probably get a weird look.

Sexy is sexy, and what's flattering on a person is very dependent upon that person. Their age may have nothing to do with it. In general, I'm in favor of people wearing what they feel most comfortable in, and I can definitely say, in my opinion, that there are plenty of sexy 40+ year old women who can pull off shorter skirts.

If you can pull of the look with confidence and are happy with what you are wearing--go for it!! I am 42 and wear corsets in public....

To me it is all about the way you feel, your body type etc. If you wear the clothes you like. You fit your body type then you can't go wrong ever. I am short 5'1 so if I wear a long skirt it make me look shorter. Now I cant wear to short of a skirt it makes me feel uncomfortable. But I get mine to come about 4" or so above the knee. Plus if all else fails look at the great actress that are above your age and see the great skirts they wear.
