When I was 19 I married a 33 year old, when I was 27 I divorced a 41 year old lol. I am happily single now, but could it be because of the age difference of the relationships in my life?
Does age matter?

It could be; I would put my money on the usual suspects - communication, maturity, and money issues.

The number is only a variable. Like Stormy said, what matters is communication, maturity, and money issues. Being older just means you've possibly had more experience with those things, but there are super mature 18 year olds and totally immature 40 year olds. It just all depends.
As long as both people are of legal age, that's really all that matters in the age department.

I don't think age difference is a big deal as long as the younger person is "mature". Communication is a big problem as the age difference gets wider but it also happens in couples who are the same age.

I don't think age is what did it. Unless of course one or both of you had a problem with it when you got married but most people won't get married if their uncomfortable with the age difference. I think it was the normal reasons for divorce.

Age alone wouldn't make the difference, more of what you shared or didn't share in your lives together. Being married for 25+ years I would definitely agree communication between two people and the respect they have for one another plays the biggest factors.
