Age is a number for sure. But it's possible for two ppl to be peas in a pod at different or the same ages.

It totally depends on the person, really.

For adult men who are immature, I think it's more learned social behavior. The male mid life crisis youth obsessed have to act like I'm 20 forever *thing* You learn to care about certain things, you learn to act in a certain way, to take a certain level of consideration and accountability. If there *is* a measured difference in the maturity of men and women, I would guess that it's probably because we encourage women to display behaviors and possess characteristics most often related to maturity.
Pragmatism, compassion, empathy, patience, organization, etc. Women currently have higher college gpas and higher college attendance in general for a reason, and it's not because one sex is smarter than the other.
On the other side, men are told to be impulsive and aggressive, to disregard intellect and "go what's in your gut" and of course, to be players.
Similarly, many of the guys I know often refer to something some comedian once referred to as "thinking about nothing." Could be coincidence but no girl I know does this. We're always think think think think think think.
And naturally, some people just do what they do. An immature girl isn't exactly rare.

i really do believe that girls are more mature and if your partner act the same way you do ,, that´s the point , he act like your age ,, you´re younger ,, you´re more mature plus some girls have babies at 15 they take that in there hands no matter if the guy is present

I think it really depends on the person. My partner now is proof that this isn't always true. He's quite mature. But past experiences I've had, most of them prove the theory right.

i agree! I had my 1st child w him at 18 (almost 19) and then my 2nd at 20! there are sometimes i gt overwhelmed and he cant see why and i think i made it chick when i asked/told him "im 21 with two kids! yes you are here but not all day like i am! can you honestly tell me that u would have been able to do this at 21?" he kind of just looked at me like umm well no! and that was it! now if i need a break he tells me to go out hes got the kids! and its weird i never really think about the age diff unless someone less brings it up!

I kind of feel like that's been my general experience in my own life, yes, but I think everyone is different and I wouldn't really want to say that's necessarily the truth. It's too absolute for me.

I believe that it's situational.

love my husband i really do...he is a yr and half older than me and i swear he still has temper tatrums like our 4 yr!!!! i yhink i make better decsions than him im more cool calm collected, i have more patience with the kids. i think he has the mind of a 18 yr old!!!

My husband and 9-year-old cousin are almost exactly alike...

It always depends on the individual. However, I will say that as an overall trend I have noticed a higher number of immature men in my life than women. Still, it's not fair to make sweeping generalizations.

I think I am.

I'm pretty sure it varies from person to person, although I think I'd agree somewhat.
For the most part I'm a great deal more mature than the men of my age but I'm dating a man about two years younger who's just as mature as I am.

I definitely believe that women develop mentally faster than men: I think that's why people believe that.
01/24/2012
You see it mostly during the teenage and adolescent years. You'll see girls get disgusted by boys their age laughing at things a boy in elementary school or middle school would laugh at.

Depends. I know for sure that my ex-husband had not done any maturing during the ten years of our relationship - he was exactly the same person he was between the ages of 32 and 42 ... he still acted like he was 12.
(After all the crap we went through those ten years, and he did not change one iota! Meanwhile, I had to grow up so much that I was no longer the person who could be in love with someone like him ... )

This is an "it all depends" sort of situation here lol. Some men/women fit into this category and some do not. Depends on how they were raised, their surroundings and experiences. That is what shapes a person. I think too, that sometimes "immaturity" can also be a sign of maturity and being comfortable with ones self.

Depends on the individual. I know people of both sexes younger than myself who are extremely mature, and ones who are older and act like imbeciles.
06/22/2012
i guess it really does depend on the person but i sometimes lean towards woman just being more mature
06/22/2012
i definitely believe that.

I think it definitely depends on the person. I know some pretty immature girls. No matter how old they are, they still act like they are in high school.
06/22/2012
Really depends on the person and a number of factors

Believe for the most part
