As far as insertable toys go, I'd recommend the Seduction by Evolved. If you want something smaller mainly for external use I;d recommend the Waterwhirl by Cal Exotics or the Birthstones by Evolved. I suggest cheaper toys because I personally wouldn't wanna toss over $40 at a toy before I knew it was a size, shape, and strength that worked for me.

The first one to get, you should try a tradition vibe maybe something like Iconic Smoothie, but if you want a softer material maybe try a jelly just be careful with unsafe materials, Galaxy.
You should tell us what you want to use it for, insertion, anal, vaginal, clitoral, or whatever else. Also price range and colors would help and material.

Our first vibrator was the Butterfly Kiss and I loved it. It helped us see what size/length we needed (aka "BIGGER") and it also helped me see what it was like to have something stimulating my clitoris.
We've since added several other vibrators and really enjoyed most of them.

My first vibe was the Blueberry Bliss and I loved it—it was just enough for me as a beginner, exciting and powerful but not intimidating. But I don't have a lot of toys, so I can't say there's not anything better.

My first vibrator was the Velvet Touch vibrator. I thought that it was a good choice for a few reasons -- 1. it's small, so the size wasn't intimidating. 2. it's smooth, so I wasn't worrying about bumps hitting the wrong spots. 3. it's easy to care for. 4. it's multi-speed.

I would recomend the brand Toyfriend. They are a little more expensive than what people would want to spend on their first vibe, but I think they're worth it. They are silicone over plastic. They're approachable and fun. They're not intimidating, mostly. Edenfantasys has some available. Toyfriend's least expensive collection features only one speed, and use n batteries, which are not very common. Their other collections go up in price, need the more commonly required batteries, and are multispeed along with vibration modes I think. I own the mystic and rebel from the least expensive collection, and they are both one speed. They're not very strong. I would recommend the multispeed ones that are a bit pricier. Probably the starlet.
