I mostly love rechargeable toys because they are more cost effective, and because rechargeables tend to be made of quality body-safe materials, but I don't mind using a battery operated vibe either.

If you're concerned about cost (or the environment), use rechargable batteries in your battery-operated vibes.

I really have come to love plain old batteries. When I need my high end rechargeable, they are dead. Now I have a room with a charging closet, where they stay plugged in, but then I have to decide which I want and go get it, rather then have a nice selection next to the bed. For long duration play, it's a "no contest". If my batteries go dead, I can pop them out and replace them in a second. With a rechargeable, it is "out of service" for hours, or the whole night. I wish they made some high end toys with either rechargeable or replaceable batteries as a choice.

I have found & have read about regular batteries - not chargeable, provide greater power to my vibes. that's not to say I don't enjoy some of my rechargeable or powered w/ rechargeable batteries. I have yet to try a plug-in powered vibe, though. I've heard several times they provide the greatest power.

Rechargeable toys... yes. Latest ones especially. Their batteries last longer and when recharge possess the same amt of power. If anyone can recommend a rechargeable clit vibe as strong as the Hitachi, please let us know.

if none of my clit vibes don't give me what I'm wanting at the moment, I just use my strong G-spotters. in fact, I always select several vibes for a play time. I like to start out w/ one that's teasing & doesn't have a lot functions & work up to the stronger ones w/ lots of functions. and I like to use a different group every time so I get to enjoy all of my vibes.

if you're looking for the strongest possible vibe, get one that uses C batteries. they're not offered everywhere, but they are worth the search. Vroom Royal is the vibe I have & am referring to, & it blows my socks off way beyond any other vibe I have & I do have a fairly large collection. here's a link where you can check it out:

vroom, vroom, vroom, start your engines!

and, by the way, this is a traditional vibe in shape only.
if offers 10 functions including rumbly vibrations taking it far beyond any traditional vibe.

I discovered through my internet research that the vibe is actually made of ABS with an outer material surface of PU Cote which has an EF safety rating of 8 despite the product page details stating the vibe is made of Rubber which has a safety rating of 3. Also, the DR states the outer surface is Rubber Cote also known as Velvet Cote which does have a safety rating of 8. the outer surface is not Rubber Cote either as the DR states.

I always like to do my homework before writing reviews.

Rechargable is the way to go, except when you forget to charge it!

Socket, all the way! I don't think I will ever go back to battery operated. I have one rechargeable vibrator, which isn't bad. I am looking to purchase a rechargeable wand, since the motor in my Hitachi burned out . Anyone have any recommendations?

I don't actually own any rechargeable toys yet, but I hope that some are in my future. I hate having to constantly fumble for batteries for my vibrator and I don't necessarily want to be tethered with the necessary cord of a plug-in/socket toy. So yes, something that has a convenient, rechargeable Lithium-ion battery sounds very appealing indeed!

If all vibrating toys came with the option of choosing one's preferred power choice with everything else being equal, of course, I'd chose rechargeable.
Given that really doesn't occur in the real world, I chose the toy based on its size, shape and function alone, with the way that it is powered being nearly irrelevant.

I like battery powered, because once the batteries die you can get rid of them and batteries are cheap. Imagine being on vacation and forgetting your charger

Rechargable is far more convenient than batteries, and it's helpful to avoid cords since that relies on you being close enough to a damn outlet

Rechargeable or outlet only for me!

My vote is for the power outlet. Two reasons, First: Have you ever had a toy die on you when you are using it and you have no replacement batteries? Second: More Powerful toys! Case and Point the Hitachi Magic Wand (mic dropped and now walking off the stage)

My perspective on battery-operated toys changed ever since my latest review assignment. The rabbit is extremely powerful and fully waterproof. It is only an Eden Brand toy, but it is much more powerful than my high-end rechargeable vibrators from Fun Factory and Jopen.

It's a pain in the butt that I have to take all my rechargeable toys out monthly to charge them, just to keep them in good condition (even the ones I seldom use). I'd rather stock up on batteries!

Rechargeable, please, for my "main" toys. I can always find an outlet when in a pinch. Batteries...not so much.

However, there are a couple of waterproof toys that obviously will require the old fashioned method and I'm ok with that too

I have only ever owned battery powered, but I imagine that rechargeable would be just as good if not better. A socket one would also be fine if your room has a good layout for that, but I wouldn't think it would be ideal.

Rechargeable toys is the only way to go. Batteries are ok, rechargeable ones even better as long as they're 2500+mah because they last a lot longer.

Rechargeable toys are the most convenient in the long run, and they also tend to have more rumbly vibrations (with the ones I've tried).

You should try some of the latest pulsating vibrators under the EdenFantasys brand; their powerful pulsation works better than just rumbly vibration, and they're a bargain!

I'm going to say battery, because those are the only ones I have tried, and I always have a ton of Costco batteries around. However, I have owned some vibes with battery sizes that I do not have and that has been frustrating.

Honestly I like my battery operated toys some days but other days when I have no new batteries I really think I need to give a socket charging type toy a go.

I use rechargeable batteries so it won't matter but I like the ones that charge themselves as well as the socket ones.. But I recently found out water safe isn't really water safe to batteries.

No preference - we mostly use rechargeable vibes - but her favorite orgasm-maker is her Mystic Wand with 4-AA batteries.

I like to have waterproof vibes. Some rechargeable, and some battery powered (AAA or AA preferably as I like rechargeable batteries).
