I would advise against the Jelly Flex Clitterific, the Mighty Maxi Brute, and the Climax Gems Phallus. I don't have any experience with them, but a quick glance at their information pages say that their material safety isn't very high.

Also, since you're a virgin, I might start off with either a very thin g-spot toy or else something that can be used clitorally. I know that when I was a virgin, it could be frustrating to try to find a toy that wasn't too big for me.

I agree that you should avoid the jelly and sil-a-gel toys and look for something with a higher safety rating. Out of your choices, I would go with the Sphere.

Honestly my favorite over all is the Sphere. I wouldn't recommend a jelly toy to a beginner as they are pours and hard to keep clean.
Angelic Dreams looks friendly though.

Angelic Dreams is pretty, I agree.

Go for something silicone! I know they're more expensive, but it's definitely worth it. I'd also probably recommend sticking with something external, or with a small diameter that isn't too hard, if you want to try internal stimulation.

jelly toys are nasty, go with hard plastic or silicone.
03/13/2011
I haven't tried any of those, but I think the Sphere looks the best on the list. And I agree, stick with plastic or silicone, and avoid heavy texture!

I'd say stay away from all jelly toys, they're just not body safe, quality or made to last. As for other products I'd suggest the Butterfly Kiss, Bimini Flash or the Petite Couture Amorous (or any of the Petite Couture products).
I'd also be curious to know if you've ever had an orgasm, and if you did was it from clitoral stimulation or internal stimulation (or both). I ask because if you've never had an orgasm and are trying to achieve one, it might be better to go for a clitoral product since over 70% of women require clitoral stimulation to get *there*. If you have had one and internal stimulation was what got you there, go for a product that will replicate what you were doing when you achieved it.

I have to echo a lot of what is already said here. Stay away from jelly and go with something like plastic or silicone if it is within your budget. If you haven't played with anything that has a lot of texture I would go towards something with little to no texture.

I think the rest has a lot more to do with that you might really enjoy. Consider the way you masturbate without toys, if you go towards more external stimulation you'll want to try and lean towards something that directs more of the vibration towards the head of the toy so that you might be able to use it externally if you find it doesn't blow your mind internally. (This is harder said then done with some toys.) I would also really aiming for something you know that you can easily accommodate size wise - and it might not get a bad idea to get a piece of string and a ruler out so you can really get an idea of what you are buying. I have quite the collection of toys (so I think of size a lot) but every once and a while I will end getting a toy home that has more girth that I can easily accommodate sometimes. (So in this case picking a slimmer vibe might be helpful.) For the most part its better to have a first toy that leaves you wanting rather then one that is painful to use.

I really hate plastic toys. I've got a climax gems, even though it's jelly and not the safest you can get, and like it. I don't think getting a jelly toy for a first will hurt you. Just make sure you clean it thoroughly, don't share it, and remember that you can use condoms with it.

for my first vibe I really enjoyed using a clitoral vibrator and then moved on to a vaginal/g spot type. I personally wouldn't pick any of these :/

I did have my first orgasm, like no screaming and shouting..just a shiver and I came with heavy breathing but it was threw clitoral. I have tried inserting something. I t was the kissa product but that was waaay too big cause it wouldn't enter. I do have a bullet vibrator and others that I like but not as much as the bullet that I bought within the last two months. I did come when I used them. I only tried putting my fingers in once or twice.

Thank you all for your help. Your words are making it much easier for me to select a type of vibrator.

And, i would advise to go with the clitoral stimulator for the first toy

My advice: stay away from toys in unsafe material such as jelly!
I'd go with something very small like Slinky Pinky – bullet from Rocks Off or if you wanted something bigger I'd go with something slim such as Mistress vibe kit – dildo from Vixen Creations or Sultry slims – g-spot vibrator by NMC

honestly i wouldnt use any penetrating toys as a virgin, i wouldnt want my first time to be with a hunk of plastic, i'd stick to a clitoral or bullet style vibe.
08/31/2012
For a virgin, I'd actually recommend a clitoral stimulator, like a nice bullet.
08/31/2012
Yeah, I'd recommend a bullet for you, hon. These aren't the best toys anyways, and if you're going to get toys, get something nice.
08/31/2012
clitoral stimulator is my fav.
08/31/2012
I would go with a vibrator but if you wanted to go with a dildo i would go with something silicone.
08/31/2012
I would go for a silicone waterproof toy!
08/31/2012
Try the Decadence Ripples from Doc Johnson. It's a pretty powerful, discreet little vibe. I love mine

Look for something thin and simple in silicone, maybe the Remedy Rider or something similar if you're on a budget, or the Lelo Gigi if cost isn't an issue.
08/31/2012
hm.. probably Ben's G-spot smoothie
08/31/2012
You'll want to start small, that's for sure. So you don't want one that/s 1.5inches or more thick in my opinion. Even though G is nice, you don't want something to pointy or you'll just make yourself sore since you're not familiar with your body yet. The Ben seems like it would be very easy to manage, and help you explore with out causing pain to yourself. So I suggest that one
08/31/2012
the Ben's G-spot smoothie you could easily take. Have fun!
