Here's the thing. Dildos, especially the higher-end dildos, tend to be better designed. Vibes on the other hand too often fall into the design trap of "ooh, look, VIBRATIONS!!!!" and not as much attention gets paid to the overall shape and design of the toy. I love my vibes, but the best of both worlds is hard to come by.

If you have the best vibe that suits you perfectly and the best dildo that also suits you perfectly... it's very hard to choose between them. If pushed to choose only one I'd probably say a vibe because with many of them you can also use them as a dildo (if they are designed well) when the vibrations are turned off.
