Ugh i hate condoms. They take away feeling and texture and leave slimy stuff on the toys. unless the toy us made from a very unsafe material id never use one.

Like I mentioned in your other thread, they are to expensive. On top of that, almost all of mine are either silicone, glass or stainless. So really, I see no need.

I hate using condoms and since I am the only one that uses my toys and they are all safe materials, there is no need.

Ew. No condoms ever! I hate them. Also, I think for toys condoms are a lot of trouble! Also, the thing most of us love about toys is the feeling of them. Condoms would take so much away! I've never used a condom over my toys. Some aren't so safe and are porous, but I don't use condoms anyways. I also don't use condoms with my partner as we've been in a monogamous relationship for 5 years and both tested. I unfortunately am tested much more than he is due to regular pelvic exams and stuff usually for my endometriosis (everytime I see my OBGYN he always wants to feel to see if anythign changes. EW!) & I get tested regularly for stds because it comes with the test for cancerous cells. Not fun, but worth it since cancer is a serious thing.

I've used them when I used toys made from less than safe materials. Rubber, jelly, Sil-A-Gel toys I used to use a condom with. For the Sil-A-Gel it was to keep the scent off me.

For regular use, with healthy material toys: silicone, steel, even TPR/Silicone, hard plastic, I rarely use a condom.
If toys are to be shared with an other person, or if one is going to go from anus to vagina, of course condoms should be used. Washing the toy between users, in addition to using a condom with it is better when sharing toys or going from anus to vagina.

I really only buy body-safe material toys.... So no condoms. Condoms get expensive, you know? Though I do hear the argument about easy clean-up..... That is a good point!
05/15/2011
My fiancee and I never use a condom on any of our toys.
05/15/2011
None. Most of mine are glass
05/15/2011
I prefer body safe glass & silicone so that i don't have to worry about using a condom with my toys.

No, seriously, this is where I stand as well.
05/16/2011
No condom. Ill just clean it normally
05/16/2011
Only if the toy is made of unsafe materials which is almost never.
05/16/2011
I refuse to use condoms on my toys, no matter what orifices they are going in. I like to feel the toy material and if I'm wasting money on condoms, that's less I have for toys!

I hate using condoms, which is why I mainly own glass toys. Probably like 90% of the toys I own are glass.
But there's that 10%. Those 10% of toys that can harvest really disgusting bacteria that most are unaware of. My roommate got a really really horrible infection inside her vagina from using a jelly-like toy without a condom, and a girl I know from work got cervical cancer that was believed to be linked to a toy she used. All of which could have been prevented with a condom.
The way I see it, is either buy safe toys without worrying about condoms - or suck it up, be safe, and buy some condoms. Especially when sharing, because that is jut a recipe for disaster. Anal to vaginal, or vaginal to vagina, or even anal to anal can cause horrible infections and spread disease.
If you're going to use sex toys, at least be an adult about it.

We usually don't use condoms on them since most of our toys are either silicone or strictly his or mine, but there are exceptions:
1. If we're reviewing a TPR or TPE insertable toy that is sticky or smells, I'm sticking a condom on it.
2. Any anal toy that isn't silicone gets a condom put on it.
3. If we want to share a silicone anal toy that hasn't been bleached/boiled since its last scrubbing, we'll condomize it just to be on the safe side.

i tried it and i didnt like it, so no condom for me
05/16/2011
Sheesh! I didn't know there were so many people that don't like using condoms. I feel out of place. Mainly my reason is majority of my toys are not silicone. Just having found a silicone toy with the right girth and length.

I really dislike using condoms on toys, it is expensive and leaves a chemical-like residue. Only one product I own has a lower safety rating than plastic and that toy is hardly used. The few times I have used condoms on my toys has been to cover them to share or for anal use, other than that they are cleaned very well before and after use.

I mostly refuse to spend money on non body safe materials. Can people really develop cervical cancer from certain materials? That is frightening, I feel so bad for that woman.

No codom.
05/16/2011
No condoms usually but always if the toy can't be sterilized.
05/16/2011
We don't use condoms - but I bet we spend a lot on soap and water to keep them clean. Even so, the condoms are no doubt more expensive.
05/16/2011
I've done both. I don't buy jelly or any other unsafe materials anymore, so I don't use condoms much anymore.
05/16/2011
I dont buy toys that are made of non body safe material.
05/16/2011
I only use one for anal. Other than that, no way.
05/16/2011
I'm the only one who uses my toys so I don't worry about condoms.

Same for me, I will use a condom on my toys if they are made of unsafe materials but I won't do this with glass or silicone to make clean up easier. In the long run I think using condoms might cost more, especially if the person masterbates often.
