Pure Silicone Rabbits - continued

Contributor: Rufina Rufina
Dear Oggins, We are definitely bringing the one you liked in. Although I don't think that it is made of pure silicone. As I mentioned in other discussion it is enough to contain as little as 5% of the Silicone for material to be called Silicone. That's why we always perform smell test. If material smells then it is not Pure Silicone and we call it TPR silicone. Almost all products from major US manufacturers claimed as Silicone do smell or even slightly scented with some fragrance.
However I don’t think that Pure Silicone rabbit made of Pure Silicone is much better than one made of TPR Silicone. TPR silicone is phthalate free and not that porous as Jelly. And you cannot boil rabbits anyway – I wouldn’t suggest that even if they are waterproof.
As for the Decadent Indulgence, it seems that California Exotics redoing this line in phthalate free TPR. We will update materials on the web site after checking. I can tell for sure that Decadent Indulgence 3 is TPR now – it shows on the box.

Great! I've wanted one of these rabbits, but couldn't justify spending that much on Jelly.

Thanks for the update.

That is so sad that the companies can't just be HONEST about what their toys are made of, and you have to SMELL them and then guess what they're made out of. Ugh.

I agree with you Epiphora. BUT I still can't help but giggle every time I get a new toy and give it the "sniff" test.

YAY! Thank you Pale Ada! I was wondering what happened to this discussion...it was weird! I'm glad that eden is adding the butterfly vibe I am interested in too! I'm also really interested in the Silicone Bliss Vibe from california exotics. It's a new rabbit style vibe with rotating beads that's supposed to be 100% silicone. I'll be hoping to see this one in the future! I'll keep my fingers crossed! =)

Sorry...forgot to mention that I agree with you on the TPR. I much prefer it over jelly but, I really like the "feel" of the pure silicone vibes. While you are definitly correct about not being able to boil a rabbit vibe, it might be possible to use a 10% bleach solution. I don't share my vibes so, that really doesn't matter with me..... I'm just mostly scared of the phthalates! Thanks again for all your help! =)

For those of you who love the silicone toys, and are willing to check out those that aren't rabbits, I HIGHLY recommend anything by the Lelo line of toys. Everything they make is 100% silicone, and just freaking amazing!
