It can be for some. But if Mimi is not enough power then wands might be a good choice. The inspire wand is easy to control. You hold down the button till it reaches the desired speed. I love being able to use any desired speed rather than just hi/low that the hitachi has. It is rumbly and has a detachable silicone head. I use it more than my hitachi. But I love hitachi too.
