But I'm guessing it has more to do with liquids being secreted than the empirical sense of the words, hm?

So do you guys mean I was never cumming - I was orgasming? Now that's a bit upsetting.
I mean, I feel like I knew that an orgasm (especially in women) is not the same thing as ejaculation, although the two often happen kinds hand in hand.
"An orgasm is the climax of arousal, or the release of built-up sexual tension that's felt throughout the body", so it's a muscle thing.
Cumming must be about ejecting fluid, am I right?

I'm not sure though cumming isn't a "muscle thing," too - the push of the liquid happens because the muscles are tense during the climax.
That's funny how I never actually gave this much thought - in my head, as someone working with text, I always treated these words as synonyms, one being classic and the other - a bit "dirtier." But it's an amazing thought experiment! Now waiting on @Swollenclit to give us more insight.

Yes because I am a big squirter and I come a lot that means I'm squirting everywhere, an orgasm is that intense feeling you get where you tense up and oh God the pleasure is so great and yes sometimes they do come hand in hand at the same time that's wonderful. But a few years ago I realized that they weren't the same thing and I was just wondering if any of you realize that too cuz I can come real quick but having an orgasm is a little bit harder because my g-spot's kind of deep up in like almost right above my pubic bone. And I feel like coming is more to do with the clitorious
