You can heat it up by placing it under hot water. You might be able to run it under boiling water and it could burn if you use it straight away, but it won't be able to get that hot otherwise.

Pretty much all glass toys can be warmed, potentially to burning levels.
Use hot water that your hand can stand the touch of to prevent burns.

Don't forget to never microwave toys. They can get hot spots. One part of the toy might be relatively cool, while another part is enough to cause a burn. Don't risk that and just try running it under warm water.

Use a bowl of warm water, preferably plastic so nothing chips. That way you can re-heat once the warmth dissipates. Running a toy under a tap seems wasteful, but it could be just high prices in here talking.

Yes you can warm them and they can get hot enough to burn. But it's pretty easy to avoid burns. I like might pretty warm but I always wait a few minutes after I take it out of the water just to be sure it's not too hot.

We usually just fill the sink or a plastic bowl with water that's about as warm as we'd like for a bath and then just let it sit for 15-30 minutes. I'd recommend using a plastic bowl set somewhere safe, just to be extra sure to avoid chipping or cracks.

Yes, glass can get really hot! Run it under hot water, and then test it on your hand, and then the inside of your wrist to make sure it won't burn you.

Either run it under hot water, or to save water, fill up a bowl just large enough with very hot water and place the toy inside. Take it out every few minutes to see what temperature you like and test it first - don't burn yourself!

thanks

I usually get some boiling water in a glass and then rest the toy inside the glass. I let it sit for a little while, take it out, and then let it cool off a little bit before using. Otherwise it's not hot enough and it's just a waste of time. Just be careful it's not too hot

You can warm them, and chill them

Which sensation feels best? Hot or cold?

I am pretty sure you can heat it up. and looks pretty strong to hold up to tough use.

If you are careful not to use water that is or recently was boiling you should be fine. Test the glass against something sensitive first, like your forearm or inner thighs. Be careful!

Yeah i use hot water but be careful not to go from ice cold to hot it could crack.

Yes to both your questions

yes. yes.

Test it on the inside of your wrist before trying to insert it, to make sure it won't hurt your sensitive parts.

I prefer the warmth, it almost makes it feel less rigid. After all, there's a reason the expression is 'warmed up'...

Most glass toys are made from the same grade glass as Pyrex (the measuring cups and baking pans), you can heat them VERY hot. In fact, I doubt there's anything in your kitchen or bathroom that could possibly melt it.

As far which is better its really personal preference. For me, it depends on my mood.

Yes of course. As others have said, a bowl of warm water heats up glass toys nicely. They also feel lovely with a chill on them. Temperature play is fun!
