I don't use it directly on my body, but underneath a pillow I straddle.

Before I gave mine away, I used to hold it very lightly so it just barely touched my clit. I found it numbed me less that way.

That's something I never would have thought of. I'm not sure I like my Hitachi at all.

You should seriously consider investing in something like the Eroscillator or the Smart Wand by Lelo. The Hitachi is too intense for clitoral stimulation. At first I'm sure it felt great but it will soon counteract itself. The vibration is so intense that it will cause desensitization through nerve damage and micro-tears. You can rehabilitate the area using toys with medical grade silicone... that is the exact purpose for the Eroscillator. Please do not ever use the Hitachi for anything other than muscle relief... on the low setting.

I want the eroscillator so bad, but it'll take forever to save up for it! Guess it's time for more video reviews

Meh. I'm returning it. It hurts me and isn't easy to enjoy. I'll just save up for my original goal (eroscillator) and HOPE it was worth the work.

But of coarse I have to get the deluxe because the motor is stronger. This is going to take a while.

I thought that the Hitachi would be stronger vibes, not faster ones. I was looking for pressure, not scrambled brains.

It helps to move the toy around (i.e. don't leave it on one spot too long).

Also, vary pressure you personally are using on it, and vary technique (move it around in circles as you push it hard into you, move it down across you lightly, etc) so as to avoid becoming numb. My first time using it I was given that advice and so far it's worked. It took like 30 min before I started "becoming numb..." Idk, I personally didn't think I was numb but who I was doing it with said I was becoming it

Also if you get the power box control thing with it you can vary its speed, so as to avoid getting numb fast on plain high. I personally like starting slow then moving up in speed, and sometimes taking breaks in between both because I'm like, "Omg so amazing I have to stop to like breathe" and other times because I worry about becoming numb.

Sometimes it feels a little hot/ burn-y, but it's a sensation I like.

I feel like using it with lube helps prevent hurting in a bad way

Same thing happened to my wife, so she switched to the Eroscillator. The Eroscillator 2 deluxe with the grapes attachment is now her all time favorite. It works for her very time.

I've never tried the hitachi or any other massager. I'm looking to buy my first one and was thinking that the hitachi would be a good one to invest in. Do you guys recommend it?

We have the Hitachi and like it. It's the only toy my wife will use. This is largely because it doesn't LOOK like a sex toy and in fact, it works just as well (maybe even better) as a back/neck massager. She's had similar problems to others who've commented on this discussion with it numbing her if she's not REALLY careful about how much pressure she uses with it. She only started liking it as a sex toy after I got a variable speed controller for it. Unfortunately, that's not available on Eden (but it is available elsewhere on the Internet).

The Hitachi is tricky, it seems people either love it or hate it but no one know until they try it. It's difficult to predict if it'll work for you or not. It's very intense so if you're very sensitive and don't like very strong vibrations then that might be an indicator that it might not be the best choice.

I would absolutely NOT recommend this as a sex toy. If you want a muscle massager (its actual intended purpose) it works great! As a sex toy, it is loud, large, awkward, and numbing. If you're going to buy a sex toy I would go with a high quality silicone toy like something from Lelo or Jopen. They come with a high price tag, but they are totally worth it! They also don't leave you're lady bits numb and unsatisfied. If you're heart is totally set on it I would recommend getting a light dimmer (usually like 15-20 dollars) so you can make the vibrations more adjustable. It's also WAY less expensive than the Hitachi brand adjuster.

I love my Hitachi! Not only is it great for masturbation but it also works well on sore shoulder and back muscles. A speed controller will help decrease the intensity if you need it. I have a g-spot attachment and use high quality lube with it and haven't had any problems. It's the perfect answer to a stressful day at work!

The Hitachi is my wife's favorite vibe. We use it both hand held or mounted in one of our Liberator toy mounts. Sometimes she prefers it applied directly to her clitoris, other times I will hold the head of the Hitachi in my hand while using just my fingertip to massage her clit. We have the two Vixen attachments and an amazing Tantus attachment that was discontinued years ago.

We have read about this issue happening when using the hitachi magic wand. The best advice we can give is experiment with using it different ways such as through panties/underwear or a towel. Even through a towel or panties the vibrations on high are almost too much for the warden.
