I'm getting my best friend a vibrator for Christmas. She has never had an orgasm, or a vibrator, and she is really excited. I want to pick the best vibrator for her, but I don't want it to be intimidating. I'm thinking either a powerful clitoral vibe (with a variety of speed options), or one that could work for either clitoral or g spot stimulation. I'd love your help :)
My friends first vibrator - which is best?

MiMi is super cute, powerful and non-threatening.

I would go with mimi since it is powerful for it's size, is waterproof, is non threatening and discreet. It is also rechargeable to boot which is a huge plus. I think the small size makes this a good introductory vibe. The Gigi would be my second choice.

The Mimi for clitoral, and the Gigi since it looks like the one on there most likely to hit get g-spot

I voted other. I just started using sex toys recently myself and I find really strong vibes, like the Tango, impossible to warm up with. I can only use it towards the end of my session when I've been playing with my toys for a good amount of time. She might like something more buzzy like the Nea. It's doesn't look threatening. It has vibrations as soft as a flutter to warm up with and the highest vibration is enough to make me climax. Aside from the multiple speeds it also has various patterns of pulsation. It's also rechargable and very cute.

We own the LILO Gigi (Rose) and love it. The flat head allows maximum coverage in search of the G-spot. We also own the Magic Wand cordless together with attachments; one of which can be attached to the head and used for insertion to the G-spot and/or clitoral stimulation at the same time.

It's hard to choose a first one and hit it out of the ballpark since even she doesn't know what type of vibration or intensity she'll require. I'd personally start out with less expensive options until she figures that out. I've found that the Harmony or Black Magic bullets from Doc Johnson have a pleasant, rumbling vibration that is less likely to numb and also 4 power settings. It takes AAAs, yes, but rechargeable vibrators are pricier, require a wait to use sometimes, etc. g-spots don't always respond to just vibration, either, so perhaps the Lelo Ella would be a good starting tool. For those who are just learning about their g-spot it's necessary to get used to the sensations of just pressure without the distractions of vibrations, sometimes.
Mystic Wand is pretty powerful, but the 3 power levels give variety and could give her what she needs if she hasn't had an orgasm yet because she requires more stimulation.
MiMi can be difficult to use for some people, the buttons are notoriously tough. I was like your friend, never orgasmed prior to sex toys, but it was because I needed more stimulation - for me, the Lelo toys haven't been able to really wow me.
I can understand the desire to have a toy that can pull double duty but it's not always possible. The Gigi *could* work but it's not very long or thick and lacks the punch of the Mystic or the bullets I mentioned....but it's not weak or surface-buzzy, either.

Personally, I'd go for the MiMi. I love it and it seems to work for most people, but there are some people who don't like it.

I love the We-vibe Touch - because of the shape and the depth and strength of the vibrations. It used to be my to-go vibe before I got the Eroscillator, so my vote is for it.

Definitely the MiMi looks the least intimidating.

I don't own either, but from everything I've read/seen, I'd go with MiMi or Gigi. MiMi might be the safer bet.

I think the MiMi and Gigi are the best on the list, and I think the MiMi might be easier for her as a beginner.

MiMi was my first!

I love the Mimi;-)

The Mimi is great for clit stimulation, but if you want one that's more multi-purpose, I'd go with the Gigi.

I would definitely go for the Mystic, it's small enough to be non-intimidating and it's fairly easy to use. I have something similar to it myself and it was my first vibrator and I've re-purchased it since.

Thanks! My first vibe was a wand style, and I didn't find it too intimidating, plus it has a lot of uses. It was the Hitachi, but I think that may be a bit too strong. Why did you have to repurchase the Mystic? Did it break?

mystic wand!

I would go for the Tango because out of the bunch, it seems like the only one that would work for internal and external stimulation. For a first timer, versatility is a plus because they may not yet know what kind of stimulation they prefer.

I thought the Tango might be too small for internal stimulation, it's kind of like a bullet type vibe? How do you use it internally?

I personally love the Wanachi Mini Wand, it was one of my first vibrators and by far the best!

MiMi or Gigi

Get Mimi, it gives great clitoral orgasms and is not intimidating.

When I came back to sex toys after many years, I turned to the Bimini Flash from Fun Factory. I totally recommend it and it's as good as the ones you posted.

I gave it to her! She was super excited and impatient - went home right away after I gave her the box hehe! Thanks for all your help
