Is the LELO Smart Wand REALLY waterproof?

Contributor: tunacan75 tunacan75
Its labeled as waterproof, both on Eden and by LELO themselves, but I've read all the reviews and they've noted the fact that it has a open charging point, and I don't blame the reviews for not wanting to test that in water. To me, I consider something 'waterproof' if its 100% not going to react under complete submersion, not just easily cleanable like a lot of products advertise.

So I'm wondering if its really incorrectly (and arguably dangerously) stated by LELO that this massager is waterproof?

The Ina 2 also claims to be waterproof yet has a charging port only covered by a small cap. Apparently, the charging port (at least on the Ina 2, which is also LELO) is waterproof.
I've held it open under running water and the toy still works fine.

So what's the difference when it comes to being splash proof when it still has an open charging port?

Like, when used in the shower, wouldn't I still have to worry about getting the port wet, even when it won't be fully submerged?

I'm looking for a wand-style vibrator to take into the shower, and I was looking at the mystic wand as well, which runs on batteries, but they call it 'water resistant/splash-proof ' as well!

I ran water directly into the charging port of my medium Smart Wand with no issues at all. It is totally, though surprisingly, waterproof.
