My friend Lee's birthday is coming up and ever since I told her about female ejaculation and what it is and that I can do it, she's been trying to find everything about it and is really interested in a g-spot vibrator, but she doesn't really like the way most vibrators feel with vibrations. To her, they feel like an "Oh, there's something vibrating in my ladyparts but it's doing nothing for me." So, my question is, is the Gigi different in that sense that the vibrations have some "variety" to them and they're not so monotonous? I'd love to get her the Gigi for her birthday and have heard nothing but great things about it.
is the gigi a good starter g-spot vibe?

It doesn't vibrate, but you may want to check it out.

Miss KissThis totally beat me to the punch! If it has to vibrate and you want to be able to use it for clitoral stimulation, Gigi is great. But if you're on a lower budget and only want g-spot stimulation, the Ella is one of this forum's favorite dildos.

Everyone beat me to it. If she's not into vibration, get the Ella. I haven't been able to squirt in 3 years (long story- will end up on my blog sooner or later) and the Ella was able to do it again for me.

I don't own the Gigi, but my understanding is that if you get this for her it will ruin her for all other g-spot vibes. Not that that's a bad thing.

I'm going to add another voice to the choir because I own both the Ella and the Gigi. I got the Ella first and immediately fell in love with it. I used to be addicted to vibration, but I didn't need it at all to ejaculate. For me, it's the thrusting that makes me come, not vibrations. So when I got the Gigi, I was... well, disappointed. The Gigi, while it is covered in silicone, is NOT flexible. Not at all. It won't move. I guess because there is mechanical junk inside it. And I found that somewhat uncomfortable when I tried to thrust quickly with it (it would get a little stuck at times on my pubic bone). Yeah it vibrates, but I didn't find the vibrations to add anything to the experience of ejaculation, and in fact, the control panel kinda got in the way and made it hard for me to adequately grasp the end. In my opinion, the Ella is better for ejaculation, plus it's cheaper and has another end that also feels heavenly. Let us know what you decide!

Full disclosure: the Gigi is the only vibrator that has ever made me actually ejaculate. The Gigi's vibrations do vary a bit; it has five settings and around ten power levels for each setting. I love it.
That being said, if vibrations don't really do it for your friend, I'm not sure that the Gigi would either. The Ella is far more affordable - enough that you can always supplement it with a small bullet/egg vibe or a bottle of lubricant to help her practice.

Well, I just wanted to voice my two cents. =P I love my Gigi and it does have 4 or 5 different patterns as well as just a plain vibration in case patterns aren't for you. I have not tried the Ella but, I am now dying too! I've never ejaculated and I'm jealous! =P The Ella is worth a shot right? =) I would say that either of the two sounds like a great option!

Oggins is right, DreamyLove... either one will be good. I just would say go for the Ella because it's cheaper and has another insertable end, and your friend doesn't care much for vibrations. I wrote a review of it on my blog here that also explains why I love the non-G-spot end.

My Gigi never fails to amaze me, but I love vibrations. I don't have the Ella, but it's on my wish list now, dammit! If you're looking in the price range of the Gigi, I would also throw in a pitch for the Pure Wand--another awesome, non-vibrating, squirt-inducing device!

I have ejaculated with the GiGi rather quickly and also with the Pure Wand. Different sensations but I just love the Pure Wand for long leisurely masturbation sessions. Yes they are both pricey.

Now I am going to have to look into this Gigi. I have the Ella and love it.

I personally like the Gigi a lot more for clitoral stimulation rather than g-spot stimulation. It wasn't long enough for it to work well with my anatomy as a g-spot stimulator. If you don't like the vibration it can be used as a dildo. The Ella is great but the Ella isn't much longer or more curved then the Gigi so it wouldn't solve the length problem. However, I would suggest you try a dildo like the G-Spot Pink Glass Stimulator. This is by far my favorite toy for inducing squirting orgasms. I'm currently working on a review for that toy so look for it soon.

with the variety available, and the price, there are better starter options...IMO

Bought this toy for my wife a couple months ago and she is absolutely in love with it. She uses it often and constantly tells me how much she enjoys it. She prefers this toy over her other g-spot vibrators.

yes! this was my first and it was the perfect choice.

i'm thinking about getting gigi
11/06/2012
If she is not into the vibes so much I would go for the Ella
11/07/2012
for sure

Ella or Gigi are good options.

love my gigi

I love my gigi and yes if she likes strong vibes its perfect. I mean I personally don't like weak vibes and this one was like va va va voom. and it has so many settings so she'll never get bored of it and you get to pick how strong you want the vibes and everything. so yes its a great starter and something to learn with this thing is Amazing.
11/26/2012
i want both of these now. gigi and ella!
