I am not sure

I received a toy that does not work very well. I do not really think it is damaged I think that it just is a cheaply made toy and the battery compartment does not hold the batteries in right and they fall off the connectors which makes the toy stop working until you reset the batteries. I really do not think it is broken so I do not know if it should be returned.

Did you remove the little white paper insert in the battery compartment? If so, you need to replace it with a similarly sized piece of paper. It'll stop the batteries from rattling around and keep the contacts in place.

Definitely give customer service a support ticket. If it is working that badly, I'm sure there's something wrong with it. Actually, I can tell you there's something wrong with it just from what you've already said. EF is good about this stuff and they will happily refund or exchange that item.
