I read one review about it dying within a year, is this normal or just a bad one? Does anyone have one to say how long yours has last?
How long does the tango/salsa last?

The manufacturer claims: "A full charge provides up to 2 hours of vibrations and maintains its charge when not in use for up to 2 months, so it's ready whenever you are! The high quality recharging system lasts for over 500 charge cycles, providing many years of reliable pleasure."
So it can theoretically last for a couple of years but this can change depending on how often you use it, how long your sessions are, and a random quality factor.

I've had mine over a year and it hasn't took a crap on me. However, I have noticed that it has gotten louder so it may be on it's way out. I got another to replace it but I'm using this one until it won't work anymore.

I noticed mine is getting louder, too, but I have dropped the slippery little sucker twice! The noise didn't start after dropping, though, it just started up a few months after getting & I don't use it every week or anything, either. I have the Salsa & am getting a Tango while I can grab it cheap, to have as a backup. Let me tell you, if you don't have one, you will not believe how strong this little sucker is!

On sale, you can get for $40 -$50 dollars & I personally think it's worth it. Lasting over 500 charge cycles @ 2hrs per charge gives you a minimum of 1000 hours of play time. If you used it every day for an hour, charging after the second day of use, it would last you almost 3 years & that's the MINIMUM. I just wanted to put the numbers into perspective.
I would also love to hear what other's long term experience is versus what the manufacturer says. It would be helpful to know how long you use it before charging. I wonder if it is better to let it run down before charging or if topping it off after every use is okay, (does that decrease the life)?
