I just bought the Evolved Sweet Embrace, and it has a really harsh chemical/plastic smell. It totally turns me off, and gives me a headache. Do smelly toys drive you nuts, or can you move past the smell and just do your business?
Horrible Smell

So far, I've never had one with a smell - some have mild smells *right under my nose*, but I haven't been able to smell any from farther away.

It depends on the smell. My fiance got a toy and I can't stand the smell. He threw it in a drawer and when I opened it this weekend the smell hit me in the face and it's been washed twice. I would not be able to use a toy that smelled that strong. I get headaches from strong smells like that.

Try soap and really hot water

I'm very sensitive to smells, so yes, extremely smelly toys are a turn off for me.

I can't stand harsh smells.

A smelly toy will turn me off, luckily I don't have toys with that problem.

I hate smelly toys. I wash them a million times before I can use them.

I'm surprised that the Embrace had a smell... Good to know!
I detest toys with a smell. If I have to wash it more than once to get the stank off, I hold a grudge and never use them.

Huge turn-off. I can't stand nasty chemical smells.

EW NOOO!! I'd gag

Ugh, disgusting...

I cannot stand strong smell, I generally return the toy when it smells really bad and I cannot air out the smell.

I really dislike strong smells from toys! It turns me off so much. Especially anything made of jelly. I had a rabbit vibe that smelled so strong even though I washed it with hot water and soap like 4 times and let it air out for days. It was just awful! If I can't stand it then there's no way it's going anywhere close to "down there."

yup, if the smell doesn't go away then the toy does or it gets dismantled and recycled.

Depends on how much it smells.
I have a TPR toy I can smell when I bring it to my face, but if the smell sticks to my skin or fills the room, no way.
I wonder, are there any specifically scented toys aside from lube?

Yes indeed. Can't imagine that they smell too good, though.

can't stand smeely things

Most of my toys don't really have a scent, or if they do it's only noticeable if I put them right under my nose. If I had one that I could smell from farther away than that or left a scent on my hands, I probably wouldn't use it.

if its too bad then its just not going to happen...

Yeah, don't care for those kinds of toys, so I just don't buy them.

I won't go near smelly toys.

I have only had smell problems with my first toy, which was a jelly toy (I know better now). The smell didn't bother me all that much. It was the taste that did me in.

I had one of those Evolved toys like that. I used it once maybe. It was awful
