Hitachi Wand

Contributor: klyte klyte
I almost bought a Hitachi Wand with my partner last night and we wound up not buying it because she thought it might be a little too strong for her. She's beginning to get interested in clit stimulation. Is it too strong for some of you, or just right? I've only ever heard great things about it.

I'd work up to the hitachi. It is quite the powerhouse and the first time I used it I felt the vibrations through my entire body. Kinda scared me then I came like 2 minutes later.. I was like.. "worth it."

I've had mine for a few months now and it's still way too strong most days. I can only use it on low through my panties if I want to cum with it. On the flip side, if I want to cum in under 2 minutes then I just use the hitachi. lol

It was the first toy I ever got. It is intense, especially on high, but it works. I mean, it's rarer that you go for two or three minutes and haven't orgasmed yet...

I worked my way up to it. I took a towel and folded it up over the area and flipped layers off as I got used to it until I was able to use it directly. I still greatly prefer attachments that spread the vibrations out more.

If you're looking at the Hitachi it might be worth looking into the fairy wand massager as well. I like it because it's the same deal - plugs in the wall, same size so the hitachi attachments work, etc - but instead of two switches for the intensity, it has a dial that literally goes from "hmm I can't really feel that" to "whoa this is probably the same as high on the Hitachi". And it's a lot quieter.

Have fun!

It's too strong for a lot of people, but it's helped many who have trouble reaching clitoral orgasm.

It's impossible to say if it would be too strong for her, but if she's not having trouble orgasming, it might be a safe bet to "work up to it".

There are ones like the MiMi and We-Vibe touch that can be used as a couple much easier than a big bulky wand, too.

You could even try a cheap little traditional/slimline just to start with, to see if it's the right direction at all.

It's too strong for me to use directly, so I usually keep my panties on and then fold up a blanket and put it in between. I still cum within 5 minutes.

It is a solid, well-built toy. It is my wife's favorite and has outlasted all others. It has two speeds, so the lower speed may be good for your partner.

But yes, it is pretty intense. My wife needs intense clit stimulation to help her catapult into an orgasm.

They even make a piece of Liberator furniture for it!

You should seriously consider investing in something like the Eroscillator or the Smart Wand by Lelo. The Hitachi is too intense for clitoral stimulation. At first I'm sure it felt great but it will soon counteract itself. The vibration is so intense that it will cause desensitization through nerve damage and micro-tears. You can rehabilitate the area using toys with medical grade silicone... that is the exact purpose for the Eroscillator. Please do not ever use the Hitachi for anything other than muscle relief... on the low setting. Also there is no "working up to it"... no matter how experienced somebody may be it is not safe to use at all.

Years ago my wife moved from the Hitachi to the Eroscillator with the grapes attachment. The Hitachi numbed her. The Eroscillator remains her go to, never fail toy.
