Hitachi vs. Similar Massagers

Contributor: Happy Camper Happy Camper
So I have heard nothing but good things about hitachi hitachi hitachi. I'm a power girl and thus I'm even more encouraged to spring money out of my wallet and make a purchase. But browsing through the site, I'm wondering if I could ask those who have used any combination of the Ideal, Acuvibe, and Hitachi to give an opinion on both. I like the idea of going for a slightly more modern upgrade, especially if it means less noise. But I don't want to lose power. Any advice?

Which is louder on the strongest setting? Which is stronger?

I'm leaning towards the Fairy just because it has the scroll controls but worried that

I adore my Axis Hitachi. I saw it on Soap.com for a ridiculously cheap price, so I had to pull the trigger, so to speak.

Palm Harness for Hitachi?
I think I have a fantastic idea! What about getting any dildos, and fixing them to the Hitachi with the Palm Harness! Am not sure though if it...

I actually haven't gotten the chance to upgrade to a rechargeable version of the Hitachi yet, but I would recommend the Ideal. Firstly, the bent shape seems like it would be easier/more convenient. Secondly, it's only 12 oz, as opposed to the 3lb. Acuvibe- again, easier to hold and use.

I am the high priestess in the cult of the Hitachi.

However, I also have the Ideal. I like them both...Ideal is better for travel, obviously, and it's much easier to hold (I just let go of the hitachi, and let it rest against me); however, it doesn't have *quite* as much power as the Hitachi. Maybe 8 to the Hitachi's 10. So it really depends; are you looking for a tommy sub machine gun, or an AK 47?

An eight to hitachi's ten with the majority of other toys falling where? Is the ideal any more silent? The buzz reviews seem a little ambiguous. I would like power but I might sacrifice power for silence considering I have lots of younger kids running around the house most of the day.

The Ideal is much quieter. Not silent, but quieter. Like I'd bring it to a sex club, and would not bring the Hitachi (other than the plug in factor).

I'd say most toys are about a 3 or 4, maybe a 5 if they're good. The GiGi (by lelo - LOVE it!) is maybe a 6 or 7. Ideal is an 8, and the Hitachi is a 10.

I mean, it is a trade off, and if you can afford it, I suggest both. I have 3 Hitachis (one for home, one for travel, and one for just in case), and one Ideal. The Ideal I use for travel to to partner's houses; I find it is much better for use during partner sex, as it is quieter and less unwieldy. However, during solo sex? Hitachi, hands down (literally).

Alright then ladies - what about the Acuvibe - or the Acuvibe mini? I dig the rechargeable vibes but like Happy Camper, don't want to lose too much power - also I hear wonderful things about the Eroscillator - although I understand it is a different sensation than a massager. Any input is appreciated!

The Eroscillator was the first vibrator that I bought. When I first tried it, I said, "OH MY GOD!!!!, this is so much better than a man!", but since then I have tried many other vibes and prefer a dual rabbit-type.

I'm really torn over this issue, too! I loves me some Hitachi--a female lover and fellow toy enthusiast had one--but I'm living in a dorm until next year, so anything about 4 bees just isn't practical. Between the Acuvibe and the Ideal, which is more powerful, and which is quieter?

I was curious about the Miracle massager and the My Miracle massager. They both seem so similar to me but the handle design differs from the Hitachi. I wonder if anyone has tried any combination of these toys and has an opinion to share?

I just got the Miracle Massager. I cannot compare it to the Hitachi but in comparison to every other toy I've owned, it's much more powerful. And louder,.

The My Miracle massager is the updated version of the Miracle massager. I'm going to steal an exert off my review discussing the differences.

"Besides being an upgrade from the Hitachi, the My Miracle Massager is even an upgrade from the Miracle Massager, Cal Exotic's previous leading powerhouse vibrator. Now in a pretty pink and white color palette, the new massager also offers a new softer, ribbed head."

I own the Hitachi and the MMM, and I far prefer the MMM. All around it isn't as weighty, as loud, and it doesn't overheat which the Hitachi is notorious for. link

Thanks to you both! So it's as powerful as the Hitachi? I'm guessing so, since you prefer it. Are there any other differences between the miracle massagers aside from the head and the color?

I recently acquired the Ideal. It's more powerful than the Miracle Massager by far and if the Hitachi is even more powerful.. Well, that explains the earthquakes in Japan.

I can't speak for the Acuvibe, but having had my Ideal in dorms for a few months now, I can say that it's definitely dorm-approved. After putting it down on my bed on high and going outside, through the door it's no louder than some electric grooming items I've heard (loud electric razors, epilators, mega-hair dryers...). In use, pressed against flesh, it's even less noisy.
