I recently talked to a friend and she let me know that her mom and sister threw out $300 bucks worth of her favorite toys. Supposedly they popped up as she was cleaning them. She had them laid out on the bed in her bedroom. Her mom and sister went into the room while she made them some lunch and they threw them out. She didn't realized they were gone until her mom and sister just left abruptly. Her mom later called and said they threw them out because they aren't lady like.


I am so appalled by this! I would never invade my sister or mother's room and violate their pricey. Let alone throw away their property that I did not purchase. Even if I did it is now theirs because I gave it as a gift.

Not to me. My wife has a long time friend of 20+ years and over this time her friend's parents have went in from time to time to help clean up his apartment. They found his porn collection and threw out the DVD's after braking them. The first time this happened he had a collection worth over $1,500 as well as a few he had borrowed from a friend of his. Later he moved into a complex his older sister was managing after he got married. His sister went in while he and his new wife were out to see if his apartment was clean (that was her excuse) and came across a new collection of movies as well as some toys that belonged to his wife. His sister took all of the DVD's and toys and destroyed them. He was furious about this and confronted his sister and parents saying they had no right to destroy his private property. His mother told him they have every right as long as he was part of the family. She was not going to stand by and watch her son go to hell for unchristian behavior.

Nowadays he keeps his DVD's boxed up and in his closet camouflaged as spare blankets or old clothes just in case they pop in while he is at work and if he knows they are coming over to help clean he takes his movies and hides them in his car. He has even gone so far as to ask my wife if he can keep them at our house until he was done moving into a new apartment. On a side note his collection is now worth over $5,000 and growing. less
