The first vibrator is a very special purchase. I remember the feelings I had while buying the We-Vibe (he was our first pleaser) online:‘Wow, such a strange shape...Hmm..Will it work for me and for us?? How will it be - to feel the same vibes simultaneously with my SO?' Needless to say, after trying it out, we both felt on top of the world! And how about you, guys? Where did you buy your first vibrator? What kind was it (solo/couple’s)? What did you discover while using it? C’mon, let’s share our secrets! Maybe we’ll even come up with few suggestions for our newbies here on EF

I bought my
first vibe, the Mini Pearlessence from a seedy brick and mortar sex shop. My husband wanted to try something new and exciting and we had yet to be introduced to the wide world of sex toys. The sex shop had a couple of other customers, mostly men in the porn section. And the cashier looked bored out of her mind, smacking a piece of bubble gum.
The hubs and I found our way to one of the walls full of sex toys. I remember being overwhelmed by the variety. There were so many shapes and sizes, most of the sizes terrified me and the different shapes confused me. Plus, we had a $20 limit. Feeling very small and very confused, I focused on phallic, small, and basic. Which of course, is everything that the Mini Pearlessence is. The only issue I had was picking out a color and that was done quickly enough as I was very uncomfortable in that store.
We took it home, I had done no research on it, I wasn't even sure how it was supposed to be pleasurable. We used it a handful of times and it became boring. It got stashed in a nightstand drawer for years. Then one night, in 2012 I pulled it back out while the husband was at work. Our sex life had died and I wanted to figure out how to bring it back. I didn't like the feeling of it inside me (as straight and vibrating does nothing for me pleasure wise), so I pushed it around my vulva until it felt good.
I found a position where it felt exceptionally different and good and pushed it into my body. Putting pressure on the vibrator caused the vibrations to be less buzzy and more rumbly and they carried through my body better. My husband was always bitching about how I made him stop playing with me when the sensation became too much, so when the sensation from the toy became almost unbearable, I soldiered on.
This is where things get interesting. I came. For the first time in my life. I actually had an orgasm. And a liquid gushed out of my urethra. I immediately jumped up, confused and upset. What had just happened? My only conclusion was that I had peed. I started to clean up and cry. I tried to do something to revive my sex life and instead had made a huge mess. When the husband got home, I was still cleaning up and in tears. I explained what had happened and his whole face lit up. "Baby, that wasn't pee, you squirted."
I what? He explained it and how it was nothing to be ashamed of, how it was really hot.
We used the Mini Pearlessence for a couple more months after that. I soon grew bored of the basic shape and dial turn vibrations and took to the internet to find out more about sex toys and if I could buy them online. One google search in I had found EF and now I have a plethora of toys in all shapes and sizes.
My advice to newbies to the toy world: don't start with a cheap budget, get a couple of different things to try, do your research, and know what you like. EF is a great resource for all of these things and if you need help you can post in the forums or message me. I'd be more than happy to help you find something!
