I think it tends to really depend on what you're looking for.
As mentioned, Tantus makes really high quality dildos, if that's what you're into.
Njoy makes extremely nice steel toys.
Fun Factory are a great fun manufacturer that tend to be on the cheaper end of the luxury scale. Their toys are made out of high quality materials and tend to last a decent while. They have a very distinct style that you'll either love or hate, as their insertables come in basically every color and shape you can imagine, from bubbles to swirls, to natural penis shapes, to dolphin, penguins, worms.
If you're looking for something more discreet, appearance-wise, LELO makes some of the best vibes around and have all-star warranties. They're probably my go-to company, at the moment, although I'm currently looking for a waterproof toy and so far their insignia line doesn't really do it for me.
I've heard excellent things about Jimmyjane as well, but I've also heard from some that the finish/overall quality of the form series doesn't match their price point, which is even higher than the LELOs. One salesperson at a local store said she had gone with the store owners to one of the big expos and were so disappointed with the finish of the form series with regard to it's price point (like how they have visible seems in the silicone despite being consistently priced over $130) that they chose not to carry the brand for that reason. I've had a hard time finding a store that stocks Jimmyjane, so I can't comment personally on how I feel the quality of their items compare, though I'm very interested in finding out for myself. I think they're generally still considered a very new company and it's yet to be seen exactly how well their products stand up to the competition.
