The Fairy is amazing! The dial for speed is an awesome feature on the Fairy where as Hitachi has only 2 settings.

Hitachis last for a very long time. Not only that, but they clean easily if somehow dirtied up. Fairy wands cannot clean without breaking and getmdirtymto the point in which you cannot clean.

Idk if I would ever choose anything less. I mean, they're almost the same price. I'd say just go a little higher for the Hitachi. It doesn't disappoint and is so popular/ iconic, you should get it just to test what the hype is all about

In all fairness I've not used the fairy wand (yet) but the Hitachi is more popular so there is a wider range of attachments. The weight and adjustable settings and overall cuteness of the Fairy does make it an attractive alternative. I might invest in one eventually.
