Could you actually use this while it's in the USB port? Also, how long is the cord?

Oh well that kind of bursts my bubble, they should make it with a longer cord. Hmm I'll go look at the Lelo Mia.
Admittedly the appeal of these is I'm basically attached to my laptop.

I only have those two USB rechargeables - Mia and (had) Baby Fairy.
Unfortunately there's not too many USB toys.

You can buy an USB extender cord. It's generally unadvised to drain a battery and charge it at the same time. It's stressful and then it and generates heat. Unless it has a high quality Li-ion battery inside I wouldn't try. Notebook batteries and cell phone batteries are somehow different (or they are li-po or li-ion mostly - not sure about ni-mh).

***Warning for anyone that is trying to use their usb toys while plugged in to their pc or laptops*** You better start saving your money for an expensive repair to your computer why??? Well the usb ports put out 5v and are to be used only for things whit a very small power draw..This is why you are only supposed to charge the toy not actually use it while it is plugged in to your computer. So yea it will work for a little while but eventually you will **fry** the usb port on you laptop or pc then you either pay around $100.00 to fix it or you get a new one..Sorry to burst anyone's bubble just want to warn you before you find out the "hard" way..

Have you had this happen to you personally? Does this apply to all computers or just ones that are poorly made? Where did you get your information from? Is there anywhere online could read this information for myself? I'd like to let non-Eden members know this as well.

In theory you could buy a USB extension cable and a wall adapter that allows you to charge USB devices in an outlet, but I'm not sure I'd want to risk possibly crewing the battery in the Fairy Baby up.

Your call really.
I usually charge mine using a wall adapter actually but I keep a close eye on it so that it doesn't overcharge and I don't use it while it's charging.
