I honestly can;t tell if its metal or some sort of plastic-metal, it feels like metal, sounds like it too but yes this is definitely one of the best freebies I've gotten and I love it.

This was the bullet I received for free after signing up for the newsletter, it seems like all parts of this are hard plastic.

Same. I do enjoy the controller more than the bullets. It was compatible with another toy I have, the controller for that one only had one plug-in slot and only 3 vibration speeds - so the patters and option to plug in a vibe and a bullet at once is great for me.
Best freebie I've gotten.
