I asked customer service about this, it only took mine 1.5 hours for the "initial" charge. They said some companies are sending them out pre-charged to avoid the customer having to wait the 8 or so hours.

Just wondering if anyone else had this experience? Thanks!

Can't say specifically to that one. I do know that if it has a Li-Ion battery it should come with some charge. With that type of battery it is best to not let it fully discharge, unlike the older Nickel–cadmium battery (NiCd) and Nickel–metal hydride battery (NiMH) types. In fact, with Li-ion batteries they should be charged at first sign of power loss to prolong the life of it.

Really? That sounds kinda neat! I hate waiting hours for things to charge. I really have no idea about it though.

Having just received a new MiMi, I can say that it doesn't come charged--you can't turn it on when you first receive it, but after charging it for about 10 minutes, I was able to turn it on to demonstrate speeds and intensity... So I'd say no, it's not pre-charged, but it's a super rapid charge in general.

Some of mine have came in with a small charge but just like cell phone batteries they come somewhat charged too.

Some toys do come pre-charged (like the Bliss) but no Je Joue toy I've gotten has come pre-charged--so for me, it depends on the toy, as to whether or not I'd be yucked out.
