How do you decide what to buy on your wishlist first?

Contributor: lalapetitee lalapetitee
I have ran across a few people asking me how I decide what to purchase first. For me it used to be hard but lately I have figured out a ystem that works for me.

I advise that you create a "must have" wishlist. Only put things in there that you KNOW will work for you and things that are quality products. Each time you have enough points or extra cash buy from that wishlist ONLY. Like today with the 40% off stuff there was 2 things from my "must have" list on sale. My other must have item was out of stock so I got the two dildos instead. Still got products that I KNOW I will love and will hold up!

I usually buy what is on sale at the time. NEVER impulsively! But I will say that mistakes do happen even when you research. I researched the MiMi for weeks and I still ended up hating it. It's not a bad product and well worth the price...but it is not for me!

How do you decide?

Also if you do buy something on impulse or that you researched and it DOESN'T work. Don't stress. Use it to figure out what you do or do not like. That way you can better create your "must have" list.

I try to buy around sales and new items. If something has been on my wish list forever, I'll just wait for a good sale. If it's new and doubtful that it'll go on sale soon I'll try to hold out for a sitewide sale, but that doesn't normally happen. lol

LOL That's so true! I have been meaning to get Uma, Jopen Vr7 and Mona forever now. I guess those are the things I will be getting next time there is a sitewide sale. I hope one comes around soon. I prefer not to do buyouts. Oh but now there is Mona 2 so I waited for the right time: )

I just asked this not long ago, I have yet to find a system. I generally do research before buying something. Rarely do I make impulse purchases unless it's something inexpensive ($30 or less). Even then though it's not really an impulse buy. If it wasn't already on my wishlist and it's a good sale I'll read reviews and compare it to what I know works for me.

I suppose I sort of have a system then...

Yea that's a system. A good one too! I have stopped buying a lot of toys under 30 bucks. Unless they are glass toys. Some toys under 30 bucks for me tend to be not useful for me.

For a long time I just bought the toys on my wishlist if they were on sale. I don't think I have paid full price for anything. Now I am pickier about what I buy. Also I am more patient and I try to save more points before making purchases. I have some things from my list that have been out of stock a long time! If they come back I get those things more quickly. I use lots of factors when deciding what to get. I wouldn't really call it a system. The next few things I want are the matroyska, another divine toy chest and the new mona.

I agree, but there are definitely some gems in the cheap ones. Usually the under 30 is a great sale, glass, kegel balls, or something small. Every once in a while there's a cheap toy that ends up getting great reviews, so I may take a chance. I don't touch cheap dildos normally, and I'm RUNNING from most cheap vibrators now. Too dang buzzy for me.

I use a similar system. I will research anything I'm interested extensively, and I have a ton of wishlists that I use to keep track of what I'm interested in, and only every buy things on 30% sale or more after saving up on cash or points. I tend to lump purchases to take advantage of shipping discounts and, back when they were there, the gifts that came with certain amounts purchased. Occasionally, I'll pick something cheap-ish if I want to experiment, but I try to keep that under a reasonable amount. I also take advantage of the Facebook friends 70% off discount if I see something I want to try or think that I will enjoy. Most of my purchases are strategic and very rarely do I ever impulse buy.

I ask my self
1)How badly do I need it?
2)How long have I wanted it?
3)Is it just for me or is it for playing with someone else? If so how much do they want it?
4)What do the reviews say?
