Chester Cheeky Issue....

Contributor: Shellz31 Shellz31
I received Fun Factory's Chester Cheeky yesterday in my package. There was no charge like others have experienced.
So I just plugged it in to charge and left it for the 10hrs .... actually ended up being just over 11hrs.
And nothing! The joystick is easy enough to move but I can't actually tell if the button is being pressed due to the design. I have pressed hard just in case the first times weren't enough but this thing won't go.

It costs a fortune to send it back for a replacement and I really wanted this green (which is now out of stock). So I thought I'd ask in here to see if anyone has any suggestions.

Both the charger and vibe become warm when it's charging but just won't turn on. I wish it had a light or something some where on the toy to let ya know it's charging and then when it's done.

Very discouraged right now cause I have been wanting this vibe for awhile. After disliking the Layaspot and now this one if it's faulty, I'm losing my faith in Fun Factory toys.

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. =[ Have you submitted a support ticket yet? I'm not sure what you could do...

Is there a Fun Factory presence in AU? Perhaps you can connect with them to get an exchange rocking?

No, I haven't bothered to send a support ticket. I know exactly what they will say - send it back at your own cost. To ship it back will be AU$38 and take 2 - 3 weeks to get there.

By the time it got back to Eden, I'm concerned this will have been discontinued like the other Sinnflut vibes.

I tried to google Fun Factory to see if there was any over here who would accept and replace. But I could only find the Germany one. I read they only accept returns if you bought the toy from their site.

I can't seem to find one over here but I'll keep searching!

Is there a retailer near you that sells FF products at all? Maybe you can schmooze them into doing a 1:1 exchange?

There's no stores I can go to - the closest would be 3hr round trip. I use to always buy online cause there's none nearby.

I'm not sure if there is normally any booklet that is suppose to come with it or not. All that was in there was their standard booklet that shows their other toys with basic info on the company.
I'm curious to find out how others knew it had to be charged for 10hrs cause I couldn't find anything like that with mine. I read the reviews to find that info out.
And the box was pretty bashed up - looked like it had been to war....lol.

"FUN" on the charger (the part that connects to the toy) should be lit up if connected properly. Try re-positioning the charger and see if it lights up.

With my Delight, it has a FUN symbol that lights up when charging. But I can't find anything on the Chester Cheeky like that. It has Sinnflut on the charger base and the back of the handle area on the vibrator but they are just raised plastic.

I don't think there's anything else I can try, but I'd hate to send it back without getting suggestions of things to try .... if I'm not doing something right.

I have sent in a support ticket and was informed that Eden will cover some of the postage back.
Last time I was told it was totally up to me to cover the cost - which is why I was hesitant about sending a ticket in cause I had already looked up and found shipping on Chester would be just over $38 for airmail.

Hey, hon, per our conversation, we cover standard shipping in all of our orders, but not air mail or express. Check it out here: link

So sorry this happened.

Do you think customs mucked with it?

AU post shipping options are only seamail, airmail, express or courier. But I don't mind paying the little extra it costs to send airmail. Seamail is too slow for my liking...hehehe.

It's all done and on its way. I'll send the number through via message now.

Thanks for all the help

Thanks - it's all good and sorted.
Nah, if customs open the packages they have to by law, use custom tape to seal the package back up and they put a letter in there explaining why they open it.
I've never had customs open an Eden package.

In the meantime, I'm thoroughly enjoying my Pure Wand. I didn't realise what I was missing out on. Couldn't understand why people would go crazy over metal toys. Now I know!
