I made the mistake of trying to order a Hitachi from an Amazon seller. What can I say, I had gift card there. Well, that was really stupid of me. I got sent a fake!

I didn't even know fake Hitachis were a "thing" before I started reviewing vibrators. I'm glad I had done research on that particular toy and was able to tell that it was not authentic. I was almost willing to hang onto it just because I didn't want to go through the hassle of sending it back, but when I turned it on it was barely more powerful than my battery operated Posh Teaser 1.

I just now ordered the real deal off of EF and I should have ordered it from here to begin with. I'll never order a toy off of a non-specialty website again.

So, buyer beware. I didn't know counterfeit Hitachis were so shockingly common. I was almost going to order a Salsa from somewhere else when they were out of stock here, but I'm glad I didn't. Knowing my luck, that would have been fake, too!

I'm really glad I have a website to order from that I know I can trust to actually send me authentic toys. I'm sure there are other sellers on Amazon who sell authentic Hitachis, but I won't be taking my chances there again.
