Best toy for a beginner?

Contributor: chantalgiardina chantalgiardina
I'm ashamed to admit that my bestie doesn't own any.. yep not even 1.. toy.. YIKES!!!
I am determined to change that but need your help. What is the best beginner toy?
I started with a rabbit style, but I don't want to intimidate her either so think that might be too much to begin with?

Best Toy for Beginners???
Just curious of peoples thoughts on this since I am a beginner myself.

Can anyone recommend a great beginner BDSM book?
My partner and I are interested in learning more about BDSM. I would love to get a BDSM beginners book to learn a little bit. Any good ones?

I would go with a basic vibrator, that way she can use it both internally and externally. I'd choose a high quality material, like silicone.

One important thing to consider is has she ever been penetrated? I would recommend staying under $50 in case she doesn't like it!

Three fairly thin but versatile traditional toys I would recommend are the Harmonia, the Bgood Deluxe, and the L'amour Tryst 1. The first two are AMAZING but the Harmonia does seem to have a battery compartment defect in a fair amount of the models, but you can always send it back for a free replacement if the one you get does.

As for smaller toys, I would highly recommend both the Mood Powerful small, the Diamond Fairy, or the basic Eden bullet. The Eden bullet is just AWESOME but it's not waterproof.

As far as dildos go I would really go with the Ella. It didn't work for me personally, but when I got my toyless friend a gift basket with 20 or so in it (they were all fairly cheap, I only spent about $140) this was one of her favorites. To play around with g-spotting it seems like something that will work for almost all women.

If you're on a REALLY tight budget and can only get her one, the only toy under $15 that's versatile for me to suggest being her ONLY first toy is the Rocker 7 vibe. She can use it externally or internally, it's fairly powerful, and it's held up pretty well for me.

Best of luck! Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any more questions!

something basic and versatile, imo. something that can be used for both your clit/nipples/whatever or for penetration

I would go with the basic vibrator unless she hasn't been penetrated hen go with a clit toy.
