I was wondering which sex swing is best? Best for apartment living? Easiest to set up? Sturdiest? Most comfortable? Most versatile? Has anyone tried more than one of the sex swings?
Also if I live in an apartment do I absolutely have to have a stand?

For one, I sincerely doubt most people own one, much less more than one for a comparison, sex swing. The boyfriend and I just own the Pleasure Swing and Love Swing.
All of them should be easy to set up. From what I know, it's the standard for a sex swing to come fully set up inside the box - you just have to screw in the swing and put it on the screw. Five minutes tops.
Having a stand depends on your rules. If you can find a support beam and screw into the ceiling of your apartment, you don't need a stand. We have a stand because we aren't allowed to screw into the ceiling and I'm afraid of harming the ceiling and owing a lot of money.
By far, the Pleasure Swing is much comfier than the Love Swing. I haven't tried the other two.

I agree with Mistress Kay, why would you have more than one swings? Anyway, I have a background in carpentry and I can assure you that there is a right and a wrong way to hang these things up. If you have exposed beams, fine, pre-drill a 1/4" hole and then screw a 1/2 " diameter eye bolt into the hole, at least 1 1/2 " deep. make sure you are in a structurally sound area and that the beam doesn't split or loosen from the screw threads. I had a hook from the hardware store that had a defect, it broke when I was setting it up and testing it, I hit the floor and the metal bar and chain came down on me! Didn;t get hurt but major sure you err on the side of caution!!!!

I don't have one yet but that is only because my partner and I live in our own apartment and want to wait til we can own a house. We want one that goes into the ceiling, not the one that goes over the door or has a huge stand.
09/29/2010
i voted before i saw the apartment thing. unless u get a stand or one that hangs in a door way your out of luck. we have the love swing, and the eye hole screw is huge and would tear up the ceiling.

Thanks for asking this question I wanted a swing but I didn't know what one to get!
11/14/2010
We have the Love Swing, but that's it. So, I can't really say which is better than another. However, I do recommend buying whichever has the widest possible straps and/or most comfortable looking - it really does matter if you're in it for more than 5 minutes.

i really like the pleasure swing. my ceilings are high and that one has an extension

LOL My first though when I saw the topic was "Yes Please!!" I would love to be able to give some helpful advice but I have no idea...though I am interested in the answers you will get 'cause I am in the market as well. At anyrate I thought maybe this might make you smile since it is completely unhelpful.

Although my husband & I badly want a swing we have yet to purchase one. Mainly because of where we live and having grown children at home that are in college. It's bad enough they discovered our ropes, whips, & handcuffs hanging behind our bedroom door which wasn't too awkward, but a swing would probably embarrass the hell out of me.

Pleasure swing. I've always wanted a sex swing.. hopefully my boyfriend and I can finally get one!
04/09/2011
I've only ever used (as in, don't own) a Pleasure Swing, but I loved it.
04/09/2011
I want the spinning swing and seeing as most of you like the pleasure swing I might change my mind.
04/17/2011
I've always wanted one as well. Seems like a completely new way to have sex!

I imagine a stand is a must unless you own your space. Since I'm still renting, I'm saving for a swing + stand right now.

Own the pleasure swing. Very comfy to just swing on it.

they are all pretty much the same design but yes for and apartment you absolutely have to have the stand, because the hardware you'd need to put in the ceiling to use it safetly with out the stand would probably not go over well. the stand actually fits over a full sized bed very well.

if everyone loves the pleasure swing so much why was it discontinued? I am trying to save for a swing and do not want the one that goes over the door. which leaves me with one other option now. I may have to keep searching or wait until EF brings in some other options.

Every swing takes some time to set up.
11/09/2010
i pull my pleasure swing out of the closet and hang it on the hook i installed in our ceiling. Takes me less then 30 seconds. Once you get the heights set on the seat and leg rests, 30 seconds is all it takes.
01/07/2011
I would think they all take around the same amount of time to set up.

I have the spinning sex swing and I don't know the others but I would guess that my swing will last a very long time with intermittent use. I wouldn't want to use it more than a couple times a month, just to preserve the novelty.

Which swing is best for living in an apartment (in other words I don't want to destroy the ceiling too much)? Or should I just get a stand?

I would say that the over the door is since I am in the same predicament. Can't drill into the ceiling and while we do have lots of space with two bathrooms and two bedrooms, we like the space for our work out equipment etc.

You just have to ask you know. The stands are relatively collapsible. It really depends. I seriously need to type up my review on the stand I have that EF sells. Anyways, it does go back down to all of the original pieces without much of a problem - however, I know you haven't seen the poles or the size, but this stand stands at about 6 feet by 6 feet by like 7 feet tall. It's not a tiny thing. It takes up a vast majority of our playroom which is situated in a smaller bedroom than our master bedroom.

Each pole is about 3 feet in length (since two poles go up to make the seven feet tall thing). So you have a small bundle of 3 feet long poles hanging around whereever you store it, so not so amazingly discreet when taken down. Taking down and putting up can be accomplished pretty quickly after the first time. I'd say five to ten minutes - however, it goes really quickly with two people. With one person, it's really hard to balance both of the sides of the stand while you put on the "top" piece.
I do recommend the stand though. You could drill into the door, but personally, why not choose the stand which is something that can come with you whenever you move out, holds up to 400 pounds, and doesn't harm the ceiling?

Like Lauren, I would say to use the door. Then again, you might be better off trying a stand.

i would get the stand. If you cant install a hook in the ceiling, you might not want to install one in a door way. If you are going to be living there for awhile, just go with the stand. It will be cheaper then being charged by your apartment complex to repare the installation hole for the I-bolt.

I'd go with a stand, it's semi-portable and better than the door

I think that I would go with a stand myself. I am in the same rental issue....and even tho my landlords are friends of the family, we're not THAT close LOL. I would hate to explain why there are hooks hanging from my bedroom ceiling LMAO

I would go with the over the door too.
