Pleasure Swing

I see on the product page for the Pleasure Swing that under "required" it says "add universal sex swing stand". This might be a stupid question, but as I've never owned a swing before, I'll ask it anyway: does it require the stand or is that just a recommendation?

Swings
Have you guys ever used a sex swing? Which is best in your opinion, door swing or standing swing?

Installing Sex Swing from ceiling
Hi, Most sex swing topics are pretty old or refer to stand alone products. Has anyone built or installed a sex swing into a ceiling joist? I'd like to

Is a swing or are bed ties more fun?
Which one is more fun to play with?

position slings ..?
I'm curious about them . While i am a flexible girl it can get hard to hold my legs near my ears after a bit . So does anyone find these helpful ?

It does not require the stand. The stand is optional. If you are okay with screwing into your ceiling, then you just need to purchase the swing. If you don't want to screw into your ceiling, then the Sex Swing Stand makes it so you don't have to screw it into the ceiling. That make sense?

Fun! Much better than the over-the-door kind. A friend has one of those and we looked so stupid in it that we took pictures - and not the good kind.

I've never used one before, but I believe taht Kayla is correct. But if you decide to attach it to your ceiling, don't just screw it anywhere. Make sure you find something sturdy to attach it to!

The swing comes with a large screw about 5" long that can be attached very securely to the ceiling if you can locate a stud spanning the length of the room.

Just be sure of what you're screwing into, you DONT want this thing coming out of the ceiling, it will likely land you in the ER if it were to fall.

I found a stud in our ceiling and pre drilled a hole in the wood as the lag screw provided is rather large (with good reason) so that the threads would not split the wood and lesson the grip that the screw has on the ceiling. We cover the hook with a Chinese lantern that hangs from the hook when not in use.

If you're a renter, or in doubt, you may just want to get the stand... though the hole in the ceiling is small and can be patched with minimal effort.

I was thinking about getting the stand, but that seems a bit bulky for our space. There's a spot in our ceiling that's all screwed up because they used to have track lighting in here and never repaired it properly when they removed it, so I'm not really worried about the appearance of the ceiling. I just need to figure out how to find that stud. I've got a studfinder, but usually I'm just hanging pictures. The cargo, in this case, is a little more precious.

The advantage of the universal stand is that it makes your sex swing a much more maneuverable bit of furniture. (Also easier to take to a party... or a different room.)

If I thought I'd be going to any of those kind of parties, you can bet I'd already have it

The stand takes up too much room for storage. Use the I-bolt it comes with and screw it into the ceiling. Just make sure you are screwing it into either a floor joist if there is a floor above you, or into the roof truss's. If you are not good with tools, hire someone. Sheetrock will not hold up a 150 pound person.

I agree withothers up above... make certain the beam you screw it into will support 300+ lbs of weight (that will be moving as well which will add to the momentum ). I agree the stand is probably the best bet because it's more mobile but it does take up more space.

Take a very fine drill bit, one that will leave a hole that virtually won't be seen, and drill approximately where you think the stud is; you will feel and hear when you hit the stud. (You might want to make 2 or 3 holes just to determine that you are not going to put the big screw into the edge of the stud.)

You can also get the ones that hang over door jams if you dont want to mess with the stand or your ceiling.

The stand is awesome for restraints though. I prefer it with the stand. I can sit on on one of the crossbars and pull her to me, tie her feet high on the stand, or her hands low on it. The stand makes for awesome play, and except for the x brace across the top, all the pieces slide right under the bed, and it takes at most ten minutes to get it set up.

I agree the stand gives you a greater feeling of stability.I've used it at 440 lbs and seen other big people use it. Also your partner will be putting weight on/leaning on the swing as well.I don't want to have to worry that the ceiling hook won't hold.
