My wife has a genetic condition that causes intense knee and shin pain if she crouches, kneels, or generally puts too much strain across her shins.

This requires modification for a lot of sexual positions, but completely rules out any woman on top positions for her.

What recommendations do people have for furniture that can help accommodate this problem? We already have an incredible sex stool, but the appearance of it has turned her off to even trying to use it. For those who would recommend this, any ideas on how to get to those first steps of trying it? Less industrial looking options would certainly be welcome though.

A bench that she could straddle might work. Liberator sells one called Equus.

The Equus does look interesting, except for the price tag. (And yeah, a waterbed has a really big price tag.) At least it looks like other furniture. I think a sex swing would be way too much when we already have trouble using the sex stool.

Are there other options out there similar to the Equus?
