So I've been looking into sex swings of late, and have been trying to decide what I should save up for. What are the pros and cons of a door swing vs a free standing or hanging swing? Have you tried either or both? If so what's your opinion of them and which do you like more?

I researched these myself and asked people about them, though I have not bought or tried my own. There was a resounding dislike of the door swings because of lack of maneuverability for the woman and overall awkwardness, including banging into the door repeatedly. I have yet to talk to someone who liked them much and all of them wished they had just saved the money for a hanging model! However, the reviews on here should really help you. There are even video reviews that can help a lot.

I am just going to pipe in with one comment. As someone who has had a "door mounted" pull cord/gym, which pulled the door hinges out of the frame, as well as having had a high quality "pole" collapse and take a chuck of ceiling with it (I still have a pole, and now it is BOLTED into a stud in the ceiling AND floor)...just be careful of how things are really mounted for stability, verses package claims. A fall onto a hard floor can really hurt. Believe me. I had the bruises to show for it. We have a "love swing" in our "adult playroom", but it is on a frame and my hubby even reinforced the already strong frame, using plumbing clamps!

EXCELLENT points! The video I linked her to of the hanging swing has Toy Time Tim showing how he made it a spinning one and how to mount it securely! Once she sees the video of the woman demoing the door mount, I hoped she'd see how terrible it is and the reviewer mentions the bangin into the door and the noise from it, but seeing her awkward poses really drove home the point...save your money, lol! How do you like your swing? I think she wanted to know about that, too and I sure would like to know, too! They look like so much fun!

I'd love to get one with a stand, but I don't like how big the stands are that I've found. I'd need something smaller and collapsible. My space is pretty limited and I wouldn't be able to leave it out often.

I am interested in that as well. I was looking at the door ones because they're so much cheaper and would be easier to put away, but on the other hand my doors are pretty thin...

Keep in mind that if you get a hanging swing, a 4-point swing has better support than a 1-point swing.

We love our swing. We use it quite frequently...at least weekly. It is still our favorite sex toy purchase ever.

That's always good to know. For bigger purchases it's always good to do some research first and hearing that people use the items so often is reassuring. What kind of swing do you have? If you don't mind my asking.

Yet you can get a free standing swing and find that sturdy place in your ceiling and no banging noise. I have a hook mine hangs on so its easy to take down. I also have a collapseable stand. But keep in mind prices for a door swing around 50$ price for free stand swing and here's the catch with triangle the actual equipment to hang it around 100$ free stand swing stand 300$. Big price difference to.

If you need discretion, door swing! They are inferior in many ways, but there's no doubting the convenience of being able to tuck it out of sight at a moments notice.
If you have the ability to use a dedicated swing however, free-standing is going to give you so much more stability, versatility, and ease of use.
