Someone STOLE your sex toys! AIGHH! Oh my. Lol I'd say they must've been mighty desperate. Lol. You poor thing. I'd be ready to bitch slap someone for taking mine! Ha ha. Anyways, I can see why that would cause you to be concerned. I wish I could help, but I don't have much advice to offer here. But I have started looking into better places for my toys because I'll tell ya, for some reason sex toys really grab the kid's attention! I'm not even kidding. For some reason as soon as I get a new toy I'll have it out by my bed since I'll randomly mess with it and play around just to get a better idea of it and of course I'll use it too. But it'll hang out unhidden for a few days. Bad idea! The kids all of a sudden forgot how to knock on a door before entering this summer and it's an awful habit. They've never caught me, but there's on who is so damn interested in my toys! I'll have it in my open black storage boxes that sit on my bookshelf next to my bed and even my Cleo was UNDER the bed and as soon as he walks in he spots them! I don't know how. Its like he has toy radar. Lol. Anyways, it seems anytime a toy is in that box or under my bed he automatically sees it and is drawn to it! He'll walk in and say "Hey, can I... OH MY GOD THAT IS SOOO COOL! WHAT IS THIS THING!" Ha ha. That is his words every time. Once a vibe that is very obvious, the luscious thrill-her to be exact was in that box and he radomly stuck his hand in without looking and pulled it out! He said "Holy crap this is awesome! what is it!" I don't know if it's the colors or what, but I've got to find some other way to store em. He's a digger. He somehow ends up digging in the private drawers. He really doesn't mean to, he'll just be talking and dig around. Anyways, the other day Cleo the bath toy in bright orange was under my bed and he managed to spot it from the door! He snatched it and said OMG! This is soo cool! I usually snatch them from him and make up an excuse. But Cleo wasn't ever used when he spotted it thank God. He grabbed it and asked what it was I always tell him it's something I'm holding for his aunt! Ha ha. I guess it's easy to blame the dirty things on your sister even when you're grown! Ha ha. I told him it was her very expensive back massager that she wanted me to hold for her until she came back by. Not a good excuse, but it worked!
Thankfully, Cleo doesn't look much like a sex toy at first sight so it worked. He ended up turning it on and rubbing his back with it. One of the girl's shes only one and she was here when my snuggle puss first arrived and of course she was drawn to it too! I don't know what it is.
Anyways, I never worried about it until the kids became nosey. Now I make sure they are always clean incase they do snatch them up and I have been looking into storage options. The tissue box is a good idea, but if the lock is obvious that will definitely make people want to get inside it. Now if the tissue box didn't have a lock that was noticeable then nobody would ever suspect. Anytime something has an obvious lock it draws attention.
My opinion usually is, you shouldn't be snooping through my belongings so if you come across something then that is your fault for disrespecting my privacy, but when you have kids it's very different. I really didn't need to bother with hiding them until they got nosey. I don't like that they can come across them and want to touch them. But I don't want to go hysterical and make them curious so I simply say "Hand it over! We don't invade people's privacy!" Oh, and then I say "Uh...uh.. it's your aunt's I SWEAR!" Lol.
I really haven't looked around at the storage options for very long, but I remember seeing one that looked nice. It was on Tabu Toys though. EF may have it. It's a long lock box in pink and different colors. Looks almost exactly like one of those lock boxes for make-up. I have been storing mine in a book bag in the closet hoping the kids don't think to look there. But I like to keep one or 2 in my box near my bed so it's easier to get to. Unfortunately, I don't want to spend a lot of money for a box that only holds a couple. Then you'd just have to buy a whole bunch of them and end up taking way more space and money. Maybe you could try one of those big make-up cases you can find at wal mart. They have a key to lock them nobody would suspect that, I'm sure. At least that is a cheaper option if you are looking to keep theives away, just don't leave the key around! Lol.
Another hiding spot I like is inside the pillows and stuff! Those are wonderful ideas, but I was reading reviews on them the other day and the pillows barely held much and they really didn't seem worth the price to me. If you're interested in investing in a liberator shape I think those have zippers to hold your toys, but they probably don't lock.
