So, my husband and I have a silicone cock ring that we use almost every session. He loves that it helps him last longer. But now that he's comfortable with it, he wants to try a metal one. I'm aware of the rules with metal CR's: buy the right size, 30 minutes max, put on when soft.. My question is, do they work better than silicone?

Does metal work better? Are there any other advantages to it?

Metal is so unyielding that you can get more pressure with less effort. You can also heat and cool is more extremely and the slick surface requires less lube.
silicone comes in more formulas but you can't use it with silicone-based lubes.

I agree with Adriana. If you don't get the perfectly right size, you're stuck with something very uncomfortable. Silicone is flexible and easy to clean.

The metal works well but we run into a problem with the 30 minute rule. My husband can often go longer than this especially with the use of rings. With metal it is near impossible to get off if you're hard which is the case in those instances. Then we're watching the clock trying to get him to orgasm quickly so the ring isn't on too long. With silicone rings they are harder to get off when hard but not impossible.
