This just sounds very painful to me. I don't have a steady SO right now to benefit from this and to really make me want to try it out. So I think I'm going to stick to the other toys for now. But I will keep an eye on the posts to see how the brave women here like the pumps after using them!

Pumping can hurt - but not in the way that you might imagine. If you pump slowly enough to allow blood to enter the labia at a 'normal' rate - there is no labial pain.
However if you pump to quickly, you can encounter pain.
The other way to cause pain is that the base of the cup rests on the bones in your pelvis - again if you pump too hard, the plastic against the bone is not pleasant.
My wife enjoyed pumping occasionally - but we don't do it much any more.
An interesting and useful 'side-effect' is that her lower labia engorge with blood much more than they use to. The added blood makes the area ultra-sensitive for her.
She will often ask my to stroke her labia while she uses her clit wand to elicit quite a strong orgasm - sometimes even gushing without direct g-spot stimulation.
This happens all the time now - in spite of the fact that we no longer use the pump.
