For MEN only - When measuring for a cock ring, what is the circumference around your package?

Contributor: B8trDude B8trDude
I've enjoyed using cock rings since I found EF but have almost always used the soft stretchy ones. A few months ago, I reviewed one that was made from silicone and was fairly rigid (it stretches but not much). At first, I couldn't get it on at all and was finally able to do so with a lot of effort. Even so, it would then fall off. Its design is a bit different than other cock rings so I thought it might just be that. I ended up getting another cock ring by the same manufacturer (Tantus) because it was well-made. Also, it was the same size as the first one was a traditional one. I thought that it might fit better, but it didn't. Not only that, but I can't get the thing on at all. I've now tried many times and simply can't get it to fit . . . so, I finally decided to measure my package. (What a concept?! Duh!) BTW, the first cock ring was sent to me as an assignment, the second one I ordered but assumed I could get it on as it was the same size as the first one. I now believe that the first one really doesn't fit and falls off because of its shape.

I've been thinking about trying another bigger cock ring but this time I would take a few measurements. Just to make sure, I thought I'd see how others measure their package (around the cock and balls) to determine the right size cock ring. The standard method seems to be:

1. Take a string or soft tape measure
2. Wrap it (not too tightly) around where the cock ring is to be worn (over the top of that penis at the base and under the balls)
3. Mark the spot and determine the circumference
4. Divide the circumference by pi (3.14)

That should give you the correct size.

What surprised me is that I must be very well endowed in that area even though I've just got an average cock. Anyway, when measuring your package using the above method (I used a soft tape measure), what is your circumference around your package? (Round up to the nearest half inch.)

I wear a 2" cock ring comfortably. 2" dia = 6.28" circumference. I'm not sure this is important because the cock rings are sold by dia not circumference.

Gunsmoke, you're right, cock rings are sold by their inside diameter but in order to figure out the diameter, you first need to know the circumference.

For hard materials like stainless I will go for 5 1/2" cir. (1 3/4" dia.), this is the absolute smallest that will work for me. I much rather is be a tad bigger just in case. Softer materials I will go as small as 4 3/4" cir. (1 1/2" dia.) since I know I can get it off if needed.

And yes, that is the best way to measure, I'll add that this should be done a few times over a few days and then average the measurements. Some days you can be slightly bigger/smaller than others.

Slightly less than 8, I think. Not that I'm good with measurements.

My measurement (6 1/2") is bigger than the toy I use, because it's the constriction which creates the desired effect.

I only measured now, for this poll. Since I already had a set of rings in multiple sizes (everything from 1 1/2" diameter up to 2 /12" diameter, I simply figured out by trial and error that 1 3/4" was the smallest steel ring I can manage to get on.

I have only started using them within the past few months but enjoy using them,i don't know if others have had this happen to them with their experiences with them but i feel that my orgasms are more intense when i use one in comparison to not using one.
