I was interested in the cock rings, but there are lots of them. What should I consider?

Thinking about nipple rings?
So, lately I've been really contemplating about getting my nipples done. Not really sure if I want to or not though. I do, but I don't know if I'd..
Cock rings a pain?
My boyfriend is really afraid to try a cock ring, because of what his friends have told him. They both said that you have to remove the ring before...

I would recommend one that has an EXTERNAL battery pack, cause those are generally more reliable and powerful. And look for ones with lots of good customer ratings.

I'd start with a non-vibrating, flexible ring, such as the 10 speed, or any of the snapping rings, or a jelly one. That way, it's not too expensive, you can see if you like it, and it's easy to get off.

Definitely, for your first cock ring keep it simple. Either a snapping ring or very flexible jelly one is a good idea, so you can take it off quickly if it becomes uncomfortable. That's especially important since you're not used to the sensations of a cock ring. I wouldn't worry about vibrating ones for now- there are other ways to figure out if you like vibrations on your penis.
So, I would go for a snapping ring, Julian's stud ring, or the Tie Your Own.

The first cock ring my husband tried was a jelly vibrating ring, and he broke it when he was trying to put it on. We had much better luck with a snap on cock strap. Now that he's used it for awhile he is comfortable using jelly rings. My husband is super paranoid about his cock, so for him the snapping cock strap worked best.
Best of luck!
Best of luck!

ring your thing
i have several of the stainless cock rings and i love them.the key to them is to get the right fit.it needs to be tight enought to keep your member hard but not so tight it hurts when you are erect, especially wearing it for extended foreplay. i have just ordered the raspberry silicone ring from downunder and am anxious to give it a try.anyone have any experience with the silicone rings ? i really like the feel of my balls restricted and the steel rings do that.am curious about the figure 8 or double loop rings where one ring goes around my cock and the other around my balls.

Just remember it's a bad idea to wear them for longer than 20 mins because it could cause irreversible damage.

I would definitely recommend a $10 jelly, which will be stretchy, or a slightly more expensive cockring with adjustable snaps. Metal, in my opinion, is wonderful, but should only be used by people who know what they're doing.

Definitely get one that's adjustable. Buy a cheapie first just to see if you like it. Also, I'd read up on them a bit before you use one for the first time. It needs to be a snug fit but not too tight - or you could get some nasty bruises or worse.

I'd suggest a snapping one or stretchy one for your first.

Since this is a general forum post- we need to address the reason for cock rings and the different styles.
Cock rings are 1. Sexy looking. 2. Some are sold to make the cock harder (not all!) 3. Some (especially Jelly) are designed to aid in the woman's pleasure. 4. Then we have the vibrating cock rings with from what I've read and reviewed are a full range of hit and miss...
The solid metal rings are not a good choice for beginners. The basic rubber rings can be, but have a lot less excitement power as well. Many cock rings are actually designed to go over both cock and balls.
Before you "Know" what cock ring to buy- you need to understand the purpose of the cock ring, and be honest with yourself as to exactly why you want it. For example- in general the jelly rings don't do much for erection support. They are fun and toys. The leather strap on ones do, but they are harder to use and get used to.

ring your thing
i just got my silicone raspberry ring and have used it for sexual intercourse with my wife. she orgasmed three or four times but the first two or three were from oral licking her clit.we then rode the ring for a couple more . i am use to the steel rings that go over the shaft and balls so it was different for me(only so so on the shaft alone.i am now going solo and have it stretched over my cock and balls and i believe it's going to do the trick. it has enough stretch as my 1 7/8" steel rings and is really snug on my package.i thing it's worth the money and hype!! oh yea! i'm 58 yrs old and the misses is 53.

That's a good suggestion, but you have to be careful with jelly toys. A lot of them contain a chemical softener called phthalates. Phthalates can cause various health problems. That's why I've chosen to set up a blog warning people about them and showing products that are safe.

If you are not sure what to try. I would recommend the one time use ones just to see if you truly like them. They are like 5 to 7 dollars at any local store. That way if the cock ring isn't for you, you aren't out a lot of money! I think I just purchased one for my husband and I at wal-mart for like 5.95 and it had condoms and lubes in it with the vibe cock ring. I believe eden has it too. It is made by durex.
