Cock Ring Buying Help

Contributor: Missy27 Missy27
I want to get a cock ring for my husband but don’t know where to start. There are so many options. What should I be looking for in buying one? Are there any recommendations?

Cock rings — around the shaft, or around the shaft AND testicles?

Since sizing is vital to function - I recommend starting with a kit of multiple silicone rings so he can find the right fit. Once the size is established if he wants to try a metal one - the Gear Essentials Omega is round and comfortable.

There are also lasso designs that are adjustable - although I don't have one - I will probably get one this year.

Make sure that he's willing to shave - getting the silicone or other stretchy materials off when hair is present will be rather uncomfortable. The Omega probably would work best if he doesn't want to shave.

Thanks. I don’t think he would want to shave. I hadn’t even thought of that as a factor. He isn’t large so finding a size shouldn’t be a problem. But I wouldn’t want to get anything too big for him.

The lasso ones mentioned above are a good starting point. The other thing to think about is how do you expect him to wear it. Some are just around the penis shaft. The ones I've found more effective are the ones you put your balls and penis through. Better pressure, longer effect, etc. It's worth taking a string and measuring if you are going to go for an actual ring.

One word of caution - a vibrating cock ring can actually make it harder for some to maintain an erection. As we get older - like yours truly - the valve that closes off to maintain your erection weakens - the vibrations cause the blood to leak out past the valve - resulting in deflation.

I agree - a ring that goes around the cock and balls (c&b) is more effective, that's what brings the hair issue into the dialog.

I will at times actually wear both a c&b ring and penis ring - it's a b**** getting old!

A 'typical' c&b ring will be about 2" - and there is a technique for getting it on. If it's not tight - it isn't going to help. Managing testicles and penis entry takes a little practice. More advanced (or smaller) men can go to a 1-7/8" or even a 1-3/4" ring. Larger men (cock and balls) may need to go to 1-1/8" or 1/4".

You can start with a basic silicone c-ring, like Maximize Ring Set, Silicone Penis Ornament or Love Donut.

Once you've got used to regular rings, you may experience with the link
