The mini are likely a tougher workout. They are the same weight but in a smaller size, so less surface area to grip vs weight.

Mini is for pre-baby and under 30. Regular is for over 30 and post childbirth

i would get the minis as it is more of a workout since youll have to squeeze a little more to keep them in.
