Vaginal Balls Question

So I got the Teneo Duo balls and I've had a very weird experience with them. I asked around, and some others seem to have the same experience, but I was wondering if it happens on a larger scale and if theres a reason for it.

I've used smooth, non silicone vaginal balls with no ill effect. But the Teneo duo seemed to make my secretions.. dry up, get thicker, congeal.. whatever you wanna say. It came out looking like someone pulled a prank on my vagina and it was super gross because it pulled out just about EVERYTHING due to the vacuum-ish nature of removing the balls.

Is there a reason for this? is it my body reacting to a foreign object or something? I originally thought it'd just sucked out cervical mucous since it seemed totally different from my normal lubrication but this seems to be a constant thing when I use the balls. Silicone SHOULDNT be absorbing the liquid out of my stuff, but if it's getting thicker, that could be a possibility? the longer I leave them in, the more severe the effect is.

I'm not meaning to slam any brand of vaginal balls here, at all. But I just want to know the reason behind this so I can be better informed when I use them and when I write my review. Oh, and the lube used with them was a water based lube that I've used many times with no ill effect before.

That's quite a situation you've got. I'd do some control monitoring, like, checking out the secretions without the balls in for a few days, just to see what they're like without the balls' influence. Cervical/vaginal secretions are supposed to change throughout the cycle, so it's not a big deal for them to be thin and clear one day and thick and opaque the next.

I think you may be onto something when you say "is it my body reacting to a foreign object" because your tissues might just want to feel more comfortable if you don't often wear vaginal balls or other vaginal devices. And thicker mucous might provide more protection between the toy and your tissues. As long as the stuff doesn't indicate infection/injury (i.e. smell bad or look different than your normal stuff), you're probably fine health wise. I think it'd be good to mention it in the review but I wouldn't knock the product for it because it might not be vaginal balls per se, but just having something inside you for an extended period of time that causes the secretions.

My first reaction would be that it's caused by the texture itself. With completely smooth vaginal balls, the normal secretions can flow past to some extent, and leave the vagina as usual. However, with textured balls, it may be getting "caught" on its way out. Because it's just sitting there, it has time to start drying out, and getting thick and gross looking. I've noticed this to a lesser extent when comparing my original SmartBalls with my glass kegel egg. With the glass, a lot more of the secretions make their way out as usual, and while there is some thicker stuff that comes out with it, it's not as much as I find with the SmartBalls.

Strange as it may be, look at it the way the docs tell us to look at any vaginal secretions - if it doesn't have a strange color or odd odor, it's ok.

I am OCD with cleaning my toys. Nothing goes into me not being clean.

@Rockin
Well, I have used smooth textured balls before without issue, so this is odd to me. It's possible it was due to my cycle- I just came off my period, but my normal stuff is usually low-medium thickness, comparable to Sliquid or Add Magic (the closest I have found to my own so far) so having it be thick for no reason very much freaked me out.

@Lily
Hmm, that may be the case. These are also a bit larger than I am used to for kegel balls, so that is also a possibility.

@all
I suppose I was thinking there may have been something more behind it, since I asked and others had similar results. It is possible that it is a combination of my body reacting to it as well as the balls impeding the natural flow of things down there. There was no discoloration or bad smell to it, plus I always go to my gyn whenever I fear something like that, so I think health wise I am okay and its a combo of those two things. Thanks!
