Vaginal Balls as a Gift - Which Ones?

Contributor: Coralbell Coralbell
I'm thinking about getting some vaginal balls as a gift to a friend. She has a 1 year old, and was telling me that she has had problems with incontinence since giving birth. I told her that she should do kegels, and she said that she tries, but has a hard time with it since her muscles are weak, and she can't really feel if she is doing them or not.

I wanted to get her something that has multiple weights, since she is obviously a total beginner now, but might want something a bit more difficult once her muscles start to get stronger.

My top 2 considerations were the Ami set, or a Smartballs kit (there's a deal where you can get the Teneo Uno and Duo for $40.)

I also looked at The Dukes and Luna Beads, but kind of ruled them out, since it seems a bit inconvenient to have to insert/remove the balls.

Any input or suggestions of what might work best for her would be greatly appreciated.

What a nice gift!!

Ami all the way. SmartBalls are really difficult to insert. I also found that when I peed with them in it felt like I had a bladder infection. Probably not the best for someone having urinary issues already. Ami inserts easily with very little lube. SmartBalls took what felt like a bottle of lube to get in. Ami also comes with beautiful packaging that will make a really nice gift.

I have always had urinary issues. I used to pee a gazillion times a day even before I had my son. Between Ami and Luna I now only go a few times a day like a normal person and can hold my pee much better. Plus stronger orgasms! I love vaginal beads.

I do love my Luna Beads too. The switching of the balls is a bit of a pain. For what she's trying to do, Ami would be better. I just like Luna because I can feel the beads move around more.

The Ami looks great, I want it, but have not gotten it yet. The kit is a deal, but I would go with the Ami.

I would say the kit is the best as there are more shapes/sizes so if she cannot quite feel one of them she should be able to try another. That said, she should be able to feel when she is doing kegels- I once read that while you are peeing, stop the flow of urine, because that will activate the pc muscles even as other muscles may be working too. That could be a way for her to know if she is even using them or not, because if she is incapable of doing that, she could have a more serious problem and need a doctor.

Thanks for the input so far. I'm leaning towards the Ami based on stainedclear's experience with both. I've only tried the Emigi and Smartballs, and I prefer the Emigi because it's smaller. But I'm someone who already has strong muscles, so I think what I like is different than what would work best for her.

ExquisiteSensations - She has talked to her doctor about it, and they told her the same thing about stopping the flow while she is peeing. She says that she can do that. But when she tries to do kegels normally, when not peeing, she can't really feel it to know if she's doing it properly. That's why I thought using an exerciser might be a great idea, since it would give her something to squeeze around so that she could feel it more.
