Toy storage?

Contributor: jennifur77 jennifur77
I didn't really see a good thread on this, so thought I would start one. (I don't seem to get along with the search that well, can never find what I'm looking for.)

I need some good ideas on how to store my toys. I've seen the boxes on EF, but none of my toys came with a pouch or anything, and I don't like using packaging to store my toys.

So I was wondering what everyone suggests?

I use an antique steamer trunk. You can buy simple but effective trunks at Walmart. For storage inside the trunk I use eyeglass cases, zip lock bags, cardboard tubes from toilet paper and paper towels, mailing tubes from Post Office and various small boxes, bags and the infamous ONE sock that has no match for it(damn dryer anyway!)

Most of my toys reside in a big plastic toolbox I got from Target for $11. Within the box, things are as follows: my pure silicone toys stay together in a few small makeup bags (except for the VixSkin silicone - those stay in their tubes), plastic toys are allowed to sit wherever, my glass dildo stays in its pouch, and toys of all other materials each go in their own plastic baggies to keep from touching each other.

Great ideas! I had only had one toy, and had been keeping it in the sock drawer but I need a more dedicated storage area. Love the eyeglasses case idea. I wouldn't have thought of that one.

I bought a dresser from Ikea. It cost me close to $40, but it holds my growing collection very well.
