I've never owned a ball gag before, but I've kept a curious eye on Aslan's leather gag. I don't know whether to take the plunge or not... your thoughts? My greatest hesitation is whether it triggers the gag reflex or not.

I think the ones that are actually "balls" (as opposed to the insertable fantasy-shaped gags like penises or pacifiers) are actually less likely to trigger your gag reflex since they don't go too far into the back of the throat. If you find you can put the entire ball deep into your mouth that is likely a sign that you need a larger size. One thing I have noticed about ball gags though is that you can wind up with jaw pain, so start slowly and work your way up to keeping it in your mouth for longer stretches of time.

I can't imagine a ball gag actually triggering your gag reflex, they don't go far in your mouth. Maybe a dildo gag, but not a ball or bit gag. I'd say go for it!

I don't think ball gags necessarily trigger a gag reflex...I think they are just named "gag" as in "not being able to speak" (ie, gag order). I think you will probably be fine if you get it!

I can't handle ball gags because of sinus issues, and I really wish I could. They're fun! They don't go deep enough in your mouth to trigger your gag reflex, so no worries on that point. Good luck!

The Aslan one is the nicest in my collection. I don't have a gag reflex (or at least not much of one), so I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty positive it shouldn't trigger a gag reflex. They don't go very far in the mouth. As someone else mentioned, they can cause jaw cramping, but that's different than gagging.

I love ball gags, i own two. a wiffle and a solid. they haven't triggered my gag reflex despite the name, i actually find them pretty comfortable
