Sex Toy Storage with kids

(if this is in the wrong spot, my apologies. I went through for 10 minutes trying to figure out where to post this question.)

Do you have children? If you do, I need to know, how and where do you store your toys. I've been reviewing for a few months now. I'm up to 6-7 toys. My top drawer of my dresser is getting pretty full. Where do you put all your toys? How do you ensure to keep them out of little hands you don't want finding these?

Thanks in advance for any answers!

Insightful topic debates on G-spot:

I am totally new to G spot toys lol, half the time I am not even sure if I know where it is.
Is this a good toy for reaching that hard to find G spot?

If i had a g-spot orgasm would i squirt?
Ican have a c spot orgasm but never a g-spot. since i dont squirt when i have a clitoral orgasm does that mean that i wont squirt if i have a g spot..

If you like external stimulation, do you like g-spot stimulation too?
For those that like clit stimulation AND G spot stim at the same time, vibe or no vibe on the G spot?

G spot or clit : which orgasm is better?
Which orgasm is better

Have you ever tired this vibe?
I was wondering has any of you ever tried the Groovy chick-G spot vibe? I've been eying for the past few minutes. I'm thinking about ordering it,...

I don't have kids, but we keep ours in a plastic organizer shelf. There are of course specifically marketed toy boxes (some with locks) but you could easily just get a normal kind of storage bin and just stick it in a closet or somewhere else away from direct reach of children. If you're really worried just get something with a small padlock on it, chances are though, that an unmarked out of the way box would probably be enough. At least I would think.

Get a locking two drawer filing cabinet and put it in the closet. If the kids ask 'Why do you have a filing cabinet in your closet?' Ask them in return 'What were you doing in my room without my permission?'

They have to learn the rules of privacy sometime.

I don't have children either, but I do have nosy people in my room often; and I've gone through the storage problems. I have the ToiTissue by my bed, which I keep my little toys and necessities in, and I keep the bigger toys I use most often in my top drawer. When I started to run out of room there I got a little locked box to put the toys/items I don't use as often in; and I store it either on the top shelf of my closet or under my bed.

I know people who do this! Whenever anyone asks they just say it's where they keep tax statements and important papers. Upon hearing that, their kids instantly lost interest in it.

I keep mine in the top drawer of my dresser. It's a pretty big drawer so I still have quite a bit of room left. When that does get filled up I'll be using probably either locking toy boxes or putting the toys that aren't used often up high in boxes. My kids know that they shouldn't go in my stuff so sometimes, especially if I'll be doing reviews I'll have some down in the cabinet of my desk.

I have large, locking, double video cabinets. That's where the DVDs and a lot of the toys go.
Some stuff I have in plastic drawered carts until I get another large locking cabinet - I swear at times this stuff is breeding on its own - the drawers are opaque and these carts are mixed in with the carts I use to hold bills and other papers. Since they're in my home "office", the kids aren't interested in them.

BIG black leather duffel bag with multiple sections and pockets that my boyfriend gave me, actually, that has double zippers which are easy to thread small padlocks through. I became concerned about my nephews poking their noses where they weren't supposed to when the bondage toys started coming in the mail, so suddenly the plastic box at the back of my closet was no longer good enough. lol!

Thanks for all the ideas! I'm not too concerned about it as much as I'm just curious to see what everyone does with all these toys! Sometimes I wonder if I'll have more toys then my kids someday. LOL I think I'm definitely going to take some your ideas in to consideration when picking my next storage solution. thanks everyone.

I was just going to suggest that! I also give mine the same answer...what's in my bedroom is MINE and not my kids business. I use a shoe organizer, one of those plastic things that hangs in the back of the closet. I also make plastic canvas or crochetted boxes and bags for each toy so it's out of sight.

I don't have kids, but I store my toys in my ToiBocks in my living room. It looks like a jewelry box, and has a lock, so nosy visitors can't get inside.

I also just received a discreet toy bag called a "Sneaky Sack" that looks like a tank top and hangs in your closet. It's pretty roomy and has become my "silicone sack".

No kids here, but I live with some family, so, I can kind of understand.

I have an ottoman that looks ordinary, but has a removable top so that you can store stuff in it. I put my toys at the bottom of that, covered by some pillows and whatever. It does its job.

I just counted my toys and somehow have ended up with 17 (not including lubes, condoms, etc.) I have NO idea how that happened. I swore I only had like 10.

Oh well. What's a girl to do?

I think height would be the biggest deterrent to keep kids away from toys. If they're in something that's way high up, they might not see it.

I agree with this. We keep most of our toys in a plastic tool box that can be locked, but most of the time isn't it is on a high shelf in our closet, so the kids are very unlikely to mess with it. So far they haven't gone snooping in there for Christmas gifts, like we used to, but it may only be a matter of time before we need to be more conscientous about the storage. Up high in a box is the method we choose for child advoidance though.

I have them all through my dresser, several in each drawer. I have one or two hidden in the bathroom between the folds of blankets in the linen closet..
I've got one in the living room hiding inside a big slurpee cup on the book shelf (haha!)
I also have a diaper bag that looks innocent enough but there are toys hidden in there..and also a box with things I haven't tried yet, pretty much sitting in the open but just out of reach for the kids.

The locking Devine Playchest is pretty freakin fabulous and will hold many toys, lubes and so on. It sounds like exactly what you're looking for

My Man and I have a houseful of children of many ages. We make it clear that Mama and Daddy's drawers and closets are not their business, and we respect their business by not ever going through their things, either.

That being said, we have several Sugar Sacs, which we store toys, cuffs, tethers etc in, which are kept in the Captains Drawers under our water bed, or under my dresser. If we needed to either something heavier, a Playchest or even a small locking safe (like they sell at Target for personal papers or medications ect) would suffice. They look like a hard sided suitcase. They are great for medications, which I DO lock up, and would work for Toys, if you don't feel comfortable using a Sugar Sac in drawers.

I don't feel the need to lock our toys (plus, not only are they harder to get at, sometimes the pretty pinks and purples of some of the chests attract child like attention) so putting the toys in Anti-Bacterial cloth bags, separated by cloth hankies works well for us.

Our videos are on a high shelf in My Man's closet, with some clothing in front of it. Our kids know MUCH better than to go into Daddy's closet for any reason.

I think a good blend of respect, trust, discipline and discretion is enough for most families with children and Adult toys.

Once we left a bottle of lube out, and one of my teens saw in on the head board and said, "EW. What do you have that for? You guys are old." I just smiled and asked her to respect our privacy and asked her to be happy her parents were still in love and still engaged in the activities which make her and her siblings possible.

However, I would like a suggestion for our new Hitachi. It's too damn big to put into either a Sugar Sac OR a small locking safe, so it's in the box at the back of my closet. Maybe a small backpack? I like to keep my A/C toys plugged in and ready. Nothing spoils the mood like having to find the toy, finding a place on the power strip to plug it in, and then having to do all that work when you are almost "there." I just want to have the toys ready to go.

I have 3 kids (12, 10 and 4) and there are almost always kids in my house. I am hyper vigilant about making sure I don't get "the call" from someone who had a playdate at my house LOL.

I have a ToiBocks on my nightstand that holds Luna Beads, 2 Screaming O rings, Onye, vibrating rabbit cock ring, OhMiBod, ClubVibe, Screaming O bullet, Nobessence Fling, Rock Chick, Evolved bottle rocket, nipple jewelry, chocolate body frosting and incense matches... whew!!!

I have a lot of toys, being in the adult novelty industry (and a lover of toys), but I don't use them all regularly. I have a zippered bag with the special occasion items that I keep hidden in the closet.

I use one of those foot lockers that I use for storing anything I don't want the kids into. My "collection" is quite small but even with mementoes, videos, and mags already stored in there, there's still plenty of room for more.

I have always stored my toys in a double sided shoe rack, you know the ones that you can buy at Walmart that fit your shoes in a plastic sling and has the pouches on the front and back. I got one that has a hook like a hanger does and it hung in the back of my closet behind my clothing for many years. Now I have a bigger bedroom and older kids so it hangs on the back of the door. I put my toys on the side facing the door and shoes on the other side (for camouflage). I have toy bags, boxes made with plastic canvass and yarn and the origonal packages tucked in the slots. They hold a crap ton of toys as well as being cheap!

We always did as P'Gell does as well, our room is our business their room is our business if there's bugs or funny smells...otherwise we respect their privacy. They value this and stay out of our rooms.

I store mine in my dresser next to my bed. I have a rule in my house that kids are not allowed in mommy's bedroom. Unless I give them permission to do so. Keeps me from worrying about kids finding my toys.
