So there is a site that allows you to rent a toy for monthly fee then you send it back, and pick out the next one. Each toy has been thoroughly cleaned. There are 1000's to pick from. Basically its netflix for sex toys.

Hmmm, I prefer to buy my toys - then I know they are new/fresh!
I won't use public toilets so there's no bloody way I'm going to get into shared toys. That's worse that a 'village bicycle' ...lol.

There is something a bit weird about this site, it doesn't show you all the available toys until you are a member. It also seems a bit odd that it is the same price to rent a theoretical $200 toy as a $50 toy. While the concept is a bit disturbing, its also weirdly intriguing, but I am not convinced its real. If there were truly a way to ensure that a toy was 100% sanitary and that you could try before you buy wouldn't that be great to avoid being disappointed and out a lot of money, but I can't get away from the sanitation part of it.

I could see it making sense when the toys are all silicone, glass, or metal? Personally I like knowing that no one has touched my toys without my explicit permission, though. The thought of strangers using a toy before me kinda bugs me.

I would be very uncomfortable renting toys. A few times, I have loaned toys to girlfriends but only silicone, stainless steel and glass.
I rather buy my own toys and if they don't work, I dispose of them.

It's not real. When you go to start your free trial, it indicates that it's still in beta testing, but a quick google shows that the website has been live at least since 2008. Unless it's undergoing the longest beta test in history...

Yuck. I would NOT want any toy, even a sterilizable one, that someone else had used.

Do you? I only buy silicone toys from Eden because of the clamshells. How am I to know that someone with really low ethics didn't use it and just send it back? And actually it's something that has been bothering me since I read something about someone reviewing a toy that they were sending back.

Anyway. As for the rent a toy idea...NO.FUCKING.WAY.

I think that would be Gmail, which was in beta from April 1, 2004 to July 7, 2009.

As for the topic, I'd only do it if they were sterilizable toys, and it was a company I could trust.

Interesting concept. I'm not a clean freak - I do think used toys can be sterilized - but serial trading of toys seems over the top to me.

I prefer buying and owning my toys, even if I end up not liking them. From the preview items they listed, I say absolutely no to this site. The only toys I would possibly rent or pass on would be silicone or glass!

I don't even like the idea of a Porn Rental Club. Bleh, somebody else's spunky hands may have been all over that DVD and the case. I buy ours.

No way not for me I prefer mine brand spanking new and the only junk that's been on it is mine. That would creep me out using something that's been god knows where and in god knows who.

It's an interesting concept, kinda like a toyswap I'm involved in. But then that's a lot of people using toys, and looking at the site I doubt they only have completely sterilizable materials.

I'm just not sure I could get used to the fact that someone else had used it first. No matter how clean or safe (ie using condoms). I wish I felt comfortable. I think we could all save a lot of money trying things like this before I committed to buying them.

I just don't see this as good monetary sense, regardless of the ick factor. When those toys are usually $20-40 anyways, why not just... buy it...?
